“My Hotel in Mexico City”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

I have been coming to Mexico City for business almost every week for the last several months and always stay at The Westin Santa Fe. The rooms are clean, comfortable, stylish (but not rediculously so), and if you get a room overlooking the lush valley, positively spectacular. Perhaps more important than the room is the hotel's staff. Each staff member I have met has been as professional and friendly as any staff person in any hotel anywhere in the world. Each and every one is a credit to the Westin family of hotels. The conference facilities are first rate in all respects, and the business center floor as a whole is impeccable. As for food, as others have said, the lobby restaurant is an ok hotel restaurant, but go down one level to CC and the food and ambience are out of this world. Also, there is an Italian restaurant (I don't recall its name) in the complex here that is also top notch with an outstanding sommelier and wine list to match his skills. The only thing about which I have no comment is the pool/spa. I work too darn much and haven't seen either. Perhaps on this trip. In sum: one excellent hotel!

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your loyalty! We, as a team, are delighted and proud to know that your repeated experiences with us have been positive, especially with respect to our staff attitude, which as your note mentioned is surely the most important factor for a hotel guest. I am glad to discern that the efforts we have dedicated towards the Business facilities are being acknowledged and appreciated.
Do not hesitate to contact me personally next time you visit us. Your time may be too short to work out, however I hopefully can persuade you for a drink on the hotel terrace!
Best regards,

Short term business stay only, but very impressed with hotel services, facilities and staff.
Wide range of well presented hot and cold food available for breakfast, rooms very well appointed with good quality toiletries, towels and robes.
Would definately use this hotel again.

For whatever reason, I had a low expectation about this hotel. Located in a great neighbor close to good restaurants. Was not my first choice.
I am well suprised by the quality of the facilities, practically ¨new¨ but also with their great attitude for servicing their customers. The only missing thing is the refrigerator in the room. They should add that!

Have stayed here 4x since opening. Rooms are full Westin quality in terms of furnishings and bathroom. Nice views into the valley from the East facing rooms (even on lower floors thanks to the terrain). However, rooms are slightly on the small side, and no opportunities for upgrade as a Starwood platinum guest (at least according to the front desk).

Gym is top notch, on the top floor of the hotel, with an outdoor sitting area and tiny pool. Plenty of space and equipment in the gym.

On the downside, the room service options are limited, and I was not impressed with the quality, particularly for the Mexican dishes. There are 2 restaurants accessible on site... one is part of the hotel (Italian, looks average, but did not try), and another is in the basement... and is spectacular Spanish(ish) restaurant called "CC". There is also a VIP movie theater, Starbucks and a few faster service restaurants in the same development.

Breakfast in restaurant is also just OK relative to other offerings in the area (notably Camino Real).

Another minor complaint is that the air conditioners turn off during the night if you are a still sleeper. It's a green initiative, which I applaud, but I don't like waking up hot in the middle of the night.

Overall, service has been good and very friendly. On the balance of things, it's my choice in Santa Fe, but not entirely perfect experience.

My wife and teen daughter and me spent three nights in october at this brand new luxury hotel in Santa Fe distric of Mexico City , the hotel is in a under fast debelopment area on Santa Fe ,we were not greeted welcome to the hotel as we arrived to the valet area , and not recognized as Prefered Members by the young reception personnel , the place is very modern luxurios and clean, maybe a little cold for my personal taste .lobby is king small and has no shops or bars in it but in an adjacent area there is a nice italian restauran and bar area (always empty) ,
rooms were a bit small but nice furnished and with great cortines at the full window , great beds , nice tv , no servibar , very nice bathroom filled with fancy soaps and shampoos and plenty of towells .
the nicething about the hotel is that in the next building base there are a restaurant row with cafes and bakeries , and a couple restaurants and a v i p cinema ,also an starbucks in available .
we had a nice stay at this great hotel , the only issue really to mention was with the valet personel that kept asking if we were checking out and if we were staying at the hotel and never said a greeting or opened doors etc.
we had a promotion pakage and at first it was not considered in the bill but when i checked the charges i told the reception young guy and he made the correction in the bill .
we usually enjoy warmer and more alive hotels , but i could recomed the Westin at Santa Fe.

Room Tip: reserbe it and pay for it , the young reception guys are very nice but very impersonal even with fkt...

Thank you for your constructive feedbacks and overall positive comments. I am commited to improve the valet service and welcoming overall sensation.
The servibar is now filled up in all rooms so next time you come again I am sure you will perceive some diference.
Drop me a line when you come back to Santa Fe and I will be glad to welcome you personally.

Te hotel is very well located in an area of Santa Fe close to most of the office building and shopping centers. Good quality according to Westin standards. Only a little disappointed with the breakfast, it was good, but could be better based on other 4+ star hotels experience.
