Had a wonderful time at this museum, 'tho I ride/own a horse so I'm a bit bias.
The museum has a big display of saddles/equestrian gear used by the common Mexican cowboy (or girl) as well as historical pieces and ceremonial ones.
Our guide was very thorough in explaining various pieces he thought were important as well as answering questions, unfortuntly this all happened in Spanish but we both muddled our way through.
There's a fair bit of info on the rural history of Mexico represented there as well.
