This hostel has everything you need. Good location, close to the centre and metro stops. Friendly staff and a good common are, free breakfast (pan dulce, coffee and juice) and comfortable beds. We stayed in a 13 bed dorm, which was actually more like a 9 and a 4 joined together. All nice and clean with good facilities to cook and shower etc. only minus was bloody mosquitos so some screens would be nice!

This lovely hostel is hidden on the fourth floor. You have to hunt for the sign and a doorway at the address listed, and take your bags up the four floors. It was worth it! The hostel staff were extremely helpful, even with the smallest things. The rooms were clean- my only complaint would be the heat in the rooms or the mosquitoes if the windows are open (but what do you expect?) The common spaces are great for socializing or being on your own. There are two different kitchens, books, plenty of bathrooms, hot/strong showers, and two hostel cats. Occasionally the water would go out in the afternoon, but it always was fixed quickly. Breakfast is pastries, juice, and fruit on the beautiful terrace overlooking downtown. The place felt very safe since you need to pass a staff member at the entrance before you go up. The location is near downtown and a metro stop, but definitely a few blocks from the typical tourist area. Just use common sense in this area at night. Wifi was good, but wasn't working in the large dorm room. I was able to meet many different people to explore the city with, and the hostel staff spent a lot of time helping guests with their travels and with recommendations for food or sights. Apart from a few minor complaints, this place is awesome. And considering the price for the dorm room, a bargain.

The location is great, the breakfast was quite good and the two Mexican girls were nice at the reception.
The negatives: it was very cold all nights and the blanket they give you is not enough. If you choose this hostel bring long sleeves to sleep in. The hostel could be a bit cleaner or at least the dirty forgotten panties shouldn't be in the bath area for days. The beds are hard as rock and there are three bunk-beds on the top of each other. If you are on the highest one it can be pretty scary and if you are on the lowest you are way too low. The hostel is on the fourth floor. Last but not least the hostel doesn't have a very friendly atmosphere. There are no "hostel nights" or any fun organized by the staff.
Do some research if you want to do a particular thing because the staff might send you somewhere and there is no one there on that particular program. They simply can't say, " I don't know guys." so do the research.

Room tip: If you go this time of the year bring long sleeves to sleep in.

I changed hostel during my trip to Mexico city and Massiosare was my second place. And it was a great improvement compared to the previous hostel I was staying in.
The location is great. Security is high, friendly staff. The facilities are very good with 2 kitchen and one being dedicated for vegetarian cooking. Great view of the city from the rooftop and a pretty clean place.
Could improve the breakfast a bit and the stairs to go up there can be bothering sometimes.
My favorite hostel in town.

we stayed in the 6 bed mixed dorm for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. We enjoyed the terrace space and the common room. The layout is very good to meet new people. The stairs were a good workout :)
