located right next to the airport, it is the best of the three attached to the airport itself. The folks were super friendly on check in and the place was very comfortable. It had a wide open area in the center and the rooms were very nice and upscale. There is an excellent workout room.
The hotel is actually attached to the international terminal of the airport and can be walked in perfect safety. The hotel felt like being at home, it is quiet and comfortable.
The ONLY problem we had was the room direction sign on the floors. Our room was not listed and although it was just down the hall the sign only included the rooms on the straight part of the hall. Around the bend we found the sign for our room, even though it was basically the same hall, go figure. otherwise the stay was great.
By the way the ironing board was a good one!

Room Tip: Higher rooms seem to have a better view out over the courtyard and the town. remember to stay away f...

this hotel just opened and it is spotlessly clean. clearly the best choice of Mexico City's airport hotels. the service is very good and the on-site restaurant is excellent + 24 hr room service available. Just be sure you know it's in Terminal 1 on the 2nd level which can be hard to find (take the tram from Terminal 2).

I just recently spent one night here. Arrived on a late flight and had a couple of meetings in Mexico City early next day. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a brand new Courtyard so expect everything new. Probably they have still some glitches here and there but overall you do not have to stay another night at the Camino Real which not only is expensive but is pretty much weared down. If you are Marriotts Rewards member they have an special opening rate which is very good. If you arrive to terminal 1 the tunnel entrance is where the Bus Station to near towns as Queretaro, Puebla or Cordoba, by the International departures area. They have shuttle service to Terminal 2 and if you arrive to Terminal 2, they advice me to contact them and they will arrange pick up for you at terminal 2 so you do not have to take the tram. I believe this will be for the moment while they get the permits and an office outside arrivals area in Terminal 2. Do not hesitate, stay here.

We booked one day at Courtyard to use as a day hotel during our 14 hour layover courtesy of AeroMexico. We flew into Mexico City from the USA and deplaned in terminal two (where all international flights are operated). The Courtyard is located in the older domestic terminal one. Apart from flight crews from American based airlines, we were the only guests it appeared. The staff was beyond friendly...it was almost at a Four Seasons or Ritz level. Not sure if they were bored or if it was because lots of internal Marriott people (including a professional photographer with huge lights taking photos for Marriott marketing) but the staff would almost chase us down to ask if we needed help. The staff spoke perfect English and most had lived in the US. Very, very friendly and helpful.

If you have lots of luggage, it is a hike from T2 to T1. I am posting detailed instructions on how to get to the Courtyard because it is not obvious. Once we cleared customs and entered into T2, we followed signs to the Terminal 1 train which required us to haul our bags up the escalator. Upon reaching the train area, there is a guarded entrance with an area to the right for people continuing on with boarding passes and the left for people wanting to reach T1 hotels, restaurants, etc... The guard asked for boarding passes but then waved us through before I could dig them out of my bag. We waited 4 minutes for the train and I like that there are arrows on the floor showing you where to stand to enter the train. When we arrived at T1, we stayed on the same level walked into the main terminal area and turned left. Just look for signs for hotels, food and shops. Walk and walk and eventually you will see COURTYARD HOTEL BY MARRIOTT on a directional sign. It was not a logo, just text. Also look for Krispy Kreme donuts on the left because you turn left for the hotel right after the donuts. Walk down a hallway and you will walk right into the lobby for registration.

Everything was spanking new so it is impossible to find fault except that the shower temperature in room 524 could not be regulated hence minus one star because showering was the main reason for getting a hotel. My husband and I both experienced constant shower flux from scalding to icy cold...it would start out normal then gradually become colder until it was icy cold then it started to warm up to scalding hot then it started all over again.

Tip 1: You get one free bottle of water in your room which you can refill inside the gym from a big bottled water dispenser. We also took extra bottles of water from the Travellers Lounge..not sure if they were intended to be free but no one was there to ask and no one stopped us so we assumed it was ok.

Tip 2: If you are returning to T2 for a flight, ask the Courtyard to drive you there by shuttle. It was more relaxing to be driven right up to the departure area than hauling bags through hot terminals. They drove us there in a black Toyota at no charge.

Tip 3: If you need to kill time between flight consider booking a 5 hour tour to the pyramids with Tours by Locals website (which we found on a TripAdvisor forum). We had Carlos San Ramon who picked us up in the Courtyard lobby in a nice airconditioned car for a private tour to the pyramids which included a stop for lunch at a delicious local restaurant. Tell him you want to try the ant eggs... a local dish but really good!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the inside courtyard. This will guarantee quiet.

This new Courtyard by Marriott hotel was very nice. It only opened on the 01st April 2012 so as you can imagine, everything was brand new and extremely clean. You could even still smell the paint in the corridors. The room we had (king size + sofa bed) was nice and spacious, the service was very good all round and I loved the restaurant/bar area with the little individual Media pods. The hotel is ideal for both domestic and international flights as it sits nicely between both areas of terminal 1. My only observation, which I did mention upon check-out, was the fact the area in the middle of the hotel, which lets directly sunshine in, with a lovely communal sitting area, gets far too hot. The lifts become boiling hot, too, and even encroaches into the restaurant area. They need to get some A/C in there, and quickly as that was a big put off for me. Also, 230 pesos for a breakfast is astronomical and not in keeping with other Courtyards which in the main, only charge 12.50 dollars per adult for a breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: I always try and get top floor in any hotel to avoid elephant-like thuds on my ceiling.
