Wow, what a Memorable Dinner.
El Japonez in polanco has kept with the tradition of great food and service that has made the fast growing Japonez brand famous for.
In this case, the restaurant is in a gorgeous Polanco Mansion, which itself is a reason to visit. The menu is looong and everyone will find something to suit their taste. The Sashimi was fresh and very tasty, and the rolls were awesome! My favorite was the Tablitas de Atun, which is minced tuna, with truffle oil and tempura flakes (ask the waiter to roll them into handrolls and prepare to experience delicious.)
You can always enjoy a nice bottle of sake from their great selection or more traditional drinks from their full bar. If you feel like dinning al fresco, try their terrace even on a cold night, the staff will make sure that you are comfortable (heaters included) and have a great time.

Really good alternative if you are tired of the same old rolls, cones and grill. This restaurant do offers some dishes that step out of the normal making it a good choice if you want to try something different.

Service was good, nice enviroment, and probably one of the things that is worth to mention is the price, I was expecting to find really high prices due to the area and the look from the outside but I was amazed on their prices, is not cheap but not as expensive as other restaurants around, prices close to Mr. Sushi. For 4 people with drinks and full meals we paid $1500 mxn!

Probably little hard to find during the evening since the sign in the outside is really small.
They have valet parking.

Food is awesome, specially because they go beyond traditional japanese and prepare excellent dishes.

The Hongos de Otro Mundo "Mushroom from Other World" and the rolls in general are great, Tepanyaki is also excellent.

The food is good I recommend to ask for a tepan table so they do all the cooking in front of you and you can ask then to do the way you like, they have a very nice terrace as well if you like to seat in the out doors, the sushi is good and they have spicy one's. The main attraction is the decor of the place it is very nice.
