Friday evening, 6 adults and 2 children, staying at different hotels, the last thing we wanted was a restaurant far away. We felt Japanese and the Concierge recommended Nick-San “across the road”. Casual, inside of the Marquis Reforma hotel, you have to go through the hotel entrance and the restaurant is on the left side, we reserved for 8 people. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself as the only one for dinner, it is packed through out Lunch. The menu is Japanese infused with Mexican flavors. Everything sounds great and it is a shame that you won’t be able to order the entire menu. The staff actually recommended to place all the dishes in the middle of the table in order to share the dishes and to experience as many flavors as possible. I always love these recommendations. Even order only Starters in order to experience more variety. The selection of wines is good and again, in order to increase the experience of Mexican wines, you will find something which goes well with your dishes. When you order Sushi or Sashimi, you will get all the condiments needed but try it first without anything added. Amazing flavors, fresh products and fantastic presentations. Simple, clean and inviting to eat more. No matter if you order fish or meat, hot or cold, none of the dishes did not meet our expectations. If Mexico City would not have to offer such a variety of restaurants, we would have eaten here every day.
