...go here! Nothing against Victoria, Pacifico, Negra Modelo, etc. but after the same selections in nearly every restaurant a beer-drinking man needs some variety in life. At any given time, Fiebre de Malta has almost two dozen beers on tap ("de barril"), mostly from Mexican breweries. Some are quite outstanding though the beer list would benefit from some curation.
You're somewhat left on your own to go through an intimidating booklet of flash cards on each beer which is organized "clara" to "oscura" - light to dark - which seems to be the sole defining characteristic used to classify. I've had quite good luck and clearly the list is stocked with some fine choices. The Mexican microbrew industry is in its infancy compared to that in the U.S. and I applaud Fiebre de Malta for trying to broaden local palates. For those thirsting for something a little unique, grab a table and enjoy.
