“Nice option for a Leisure Week”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

First time in this hotel. Nice venue, very close to Insurgentes Avenue and not too far from Reforma Avenue which are an advantage to get both public and private transportation. Very clean spaces, fast check in (they even recognized me as Platinum IHG member and was therefore upgraded). Cozy room with everything as expected in a hotel of this brand. Room faced the street and was silent during my stay. Breakfast buffet acceptable with diverse options. Fast check out. In overall, I consider this hotel a nice option but there were few details I definitely think management should get solved. Firstly, slow service at the restaurant. Indeed the staff was attentive and polite, but service took long and I was the only one having breakfast!! Secondly, when requesting a couple of towels, waited for almost an hour and they were never delivered to my room. Thirdly, during my five day stay at this venue, the main elevator was out of order and did not noticed they were repairing it (or attempting to do it), so guests had to use the older one, pretty slow. Should management take care of these issues would be an improvement for the hotel.

It's been a few years since my last stay, but I love this hotel. The price is more than reasonable (under $70/day), and the quality is quite high. Beautiful, large rooms with nice bathrooms including separate bath and shower. Very nice staff who arranged a private trip for my partner and me to the pyramids at Teotihuacan. Nothing but good things to say … I'd love to stay there again.

I agree with all the comments I read. The Lark Hotel is 50 mts. away from Insurgentes Ave, the main street that runs the city South/North and the Metrobus station El Chopo (a museum) is the hotel stop. Also you have the Blue Line subway three blocks away. There is an Oxxo store and a huge Walmart on Insurgentes in front of the metrobus station. A great restaurant also on the avenue. The rooms are big enough, newly renovated, kingsize bed with new comfy mattress, super clean. Very good breakfast hot and cold buffet that we had included in our reservation. Taxi to the airport $MP150. You can walk anywhere from this location. If you like to walk of course.

Not being a novice traveller I wasn't at all afraid to stay off the beaten path during my stay in Mexico City. The Lark Hotel though not located in the more pricy zona rosa district, is still only a stone's throw from the elegant Paseo de la Reforma, from which one can easily reach any major part of the city. It is also a very short walk from the metro stop "Revolucion", as well as right next to the Metrobus, all of which make up for the fact that it isn't in the center of town.
At the price I paid ($33.00) a night, I was shocked at the size and cleanliness of the room as well as the amenities (complementary bottles of water). Although the hotel restaurant offers a full, very reasonably priced menu, I found a wonderful local restaurant five minuets away -Cafe Estaciones- located on the Heroes Ferrocarrileros 28-A, which offered a wide selection of local and international cuisine, as well as very friendly and excellent service.

The Lark Hotel is truly a hidden jewel and I intend to make it my hotel of choice on my future frequent trips to Mexico City.

This hotel is close to the Metro (SUBWAY) Stop (REVOLUCION)
Is a very nice hotel for the price - the room interior is very nice decorated and very comfortable - the personel is very helpful and it has a nice restaurant in the lobby.

Hotel is about 3miles from Zona Rosa but is close to the BUS stop or the METRO - or you are able to take a TAXI for about 50 pesos.

it cost $15.00 dollars for a taxi to the Airport -
I stayed there 3 nites and slept good - good place to rest
would stay there again

  • Liked — interior is very clean and well kept
  • Disliked — Internet connection only works in Lobby area
