“Not for business travellers”

It is a very cute hotel. Staff is spacy, so don't expect great service. It is quite expensive. Wifi is horrible.

Pros: cute. Good restaurant. Awesome neighborhood. Probably greta if you are under 30 and want to be at the bar and hang out with friends.
Cons: DJs blasting loud music all day until late during the weekend. Cannot get wifi in the bedroom. If you need to be in D.F. working, stay away.

Room Tip: 2nd floor. As far as possible from ground floor DJs and from terrace (4th floor) DJs

I heard some positive comments that made me want to know this hotel located in an overrated trendy zone in the city. Since the moment I arrived every bit of experience was under my expectations. An old looking facade received me just before checking in and that's when I confirmed it was a pricey hotel. Nonetheless I wanted to believe there was a good reason for it, unfortunately I was wrong. The elevator was small and smelled. The room was very small though it was clean, good looking and the bed was comfortable. The TV had few channels available with no HD at all.
In the next morning I had breakfast which was ok and then decided to check out and had the most unpleasant surprise: the fare confirmed by the staff the night before didn't include any tax. I will continue to look for nice hotels in Mexico City, in the meantime all I can say is STAY AWAY from Condesa DF, and overrated, overpriced and old looking place.

Just stayed here for 3 nights on business - Condesa DF is a nice alternative to those who don't enjoy the 'big business hotels' (such Intercontinental) It's small and intimate which a relaxed vibe. The hotel iteself is a rehabbed vintage building with large paned glass windows in the rooms which look out onto a quiet tree-lined street. The room is nicely appointed with a contemporary artsy feel - very comfortable bed and linens.
The staff is not highly attentive and perhaps too relaxed but are helpful when asked. Food in the patio was fantastic - one of the best Ceviche I have ever had.
My only major complaint was weak Wifi in my room.

Unfortunately, Condesa DF seems to be trying to mimic a hip Santa Monica hotel , or something akin. Too much of what makes Mexico wonderful is lacking. One should be aware that when the automatic shutters close at night, if you have a so called patio view. You will have a view of nothing. The elevator smells. The design, again an attempt at hipness, is kind of atrocious. It's an overpriced bad idea. But the location is great!

I stayed here on business for 2 nights, very dark hotel, staff not overly excited at check in. room very small, and the windows face the street which I spent all night listening to ppl outside even heard a man sneeze. Bfast looked really nice, although I had an appt and didnt get to enjoy it. Askes front desk to break a 200 peso bill, looked at me and said, "we dont have any change, maybe a bank" I wouldn't stay her again

I stayed at Condesa DF on three separate occasions so this hotel definitely has something worth coming back for.

The hotel has a buzzy vibe and on any day given is filled with creative professionals meeting and greeting for business and pleasure. There's a great rooftop bar and a good food menu and wonderful breakfast. The hotel rooms are on the small side, and you can get a bit of noise pollution from the bar in the courtyard outside. It's not the most peaceful of hotels, but it can make for a fun place to stay if you are travelling with friends/colleagues. Staff are pretty good, but a little on the pretentious side. No matter how hip your hotel is, if you classify yourself as a 5 star hotel - you've got to make sure those staff are trained up and customer focused.

I also particularly liked the reading room downstairs which is full of wonderful art and photography books. The other big plus for me, is wondering the gracious Condesa streets in the evening.

Do definitely stay here, but just ask yourself what kind of hotel experience you need. For (stressful) business travel, I have opted to stay at other hotels in Mexico City.
