“A little tired and some big annoyances”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

Visited in January 2014 for business.

Staff are very friendly and helpful...the strongest feature of the hotel.

Rooms are large and comfortable. Sorely lacking wall plugs in convenient places to charge the usual devices.

Here during cool nights. No heat...just air-conditioning. Staff are wearing coats on the job.

Hotel food quite average, maybe below average. Luckily many other places to go.

Neighborhood appears safe, just not in the heart of anything touristy. This is a lackluster business hotel across from the WTC.

Lastly...wifi free but pathetic.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room was large and quiet. What a great idea- a quiet floor, no kids, no housekeeping until late AM, etc. Request the 6th floor. The food was exceptional and everyone was very friendly and helpful!

Warning, it's a BIG hotel. So no privacy. Unless you want to hide in the crowd ;o)
Service is excellent, and the breakfast buffet is huge !! You want it, you have it ! The rooms are big, but the furnitures need to be renewed. As well as the floor (I guess there are living animals inside, it's so deep !!). No possibility to open the windows, you're stuck with the A/C. And sometimes, it doesn't smell good ...

I go 3 to 4 times a year to Mexico City and have the opportunity to stay in all type of Hotels (Camino Real, Sheraton, Hilton, Four Seasons, Hyatt, etc) but this quiet Hotel has a plus which is that on the zone it´s, there are no public manifestations (a regular in Mexico City) to create more traffic than usual.
The rooms are clean, nice and they offer a local computer on each room which is a little bit old, but works well to check your personal email without taking out your laptop.
Breakfast is great (Mexican buffet way) but there is only 2 restaurants inside. If you plan to lunch or dinner in the Hotel, just go to the very near restaurants on the side strees and the mall that is "wall to wall" with the Hotel and have a blast.
Gym is small but never too crowded, lobby is nice, but the best feature is that this hotel is easy to go in, sleep well and get out.
No pool and no children are in the Hotel since it´s mostly a business oriented Hotel.
Have a blast

They may offer a special deal, but it is not worth it. The bed looked made, but underneath it was all rumpled. The shower had a bad leak and almost flowed into the room. The computer and wifi were spotty. I needed a techie guy to figure out the cable. The food in the restaurant was served cold when it should have been hot. In fact I left a day early because of all these things- at midnight because I preferred to stay in the airport to wait for my early morning flight. When I left I was told that the third night would not be billed- it was and I had to call ihg back many times to resolve this. When I left it should have taken five minutes to get a taxi but it took almost an hour!
Worst IHG I ever stayed at. Don't go there unless you are forced to.

It is a really good average hotel, with a reasonable price, good service, regular meals and breakfast. Rooms are good equipped, good bed and tv. Bathroom was good, though shower was a bit disappointing.
I would recommend it if you need to stay near Escandón area.

Frequently staying here due to company rates. Rooms are outdated, but fairly big with very comfy beds. Try to get a king size bed as these are huge. Breakfast fails - have heard from several coworkers about there stomach problems with the food. Internet is provided for free but make sure to get a room near the elevators as the signal fades out the further away from the elevators you stay. Walls are very thin so you get to hear people talking in the hallway and smashing doors. The gym is a joke. Its true asset is the people working there. Very nice and helpful, always trying to work things out for you. Location is very good - area is safe and quite.
