For those of you who know Mexico, you'll know that this hotel is located very conveniently to the Condessa/Roma neighborhood with it's super trendy shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel isn't the most luxurious, best appointed or in perfect shape - but it is clean, well stocked and reasonably nice. The price is excellent, you get full starwood benefits, and the location. :) I will say the Internet was a big let down for a video conference I had to do, but they tried to figure it out. It was ok for browsing and such.

But where the hotel really shined was when - as a result of the internet fracas - I had to quickly relocate before my webcast. Because they knew I was in a big hurry, they asked one of the hotel staff to drive me over to the St Regis so I could get the connectivity I needed. It was an unfortunate problem, but super well resolved. I really appreciated the extra effort.

The hotel´s installations are in great shape and the location makes it easy to get to the popular neighborhood known as La Condesa or La Roma by simply walking.
At a few steps from the hotel you have a wide variety of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutiques and night life.
The room was large and clean, everything worked fine and the bathroom was huge.
However my complain is not regarding the building itself but the staff.
The front desk clerk did not even greet us upon our arrival and was apparently very busy talking with the bellman who paid no attention to us either. Although our luggage was not heavy at all he didnt even attempt to offer his help or a greeting also for the matter.
The room we were assigned was cornered, dark and with a view to the inside of the building! Are you kidding? How can you even dare to have a room located on a corner were you get no lighting at all! Looked very depressing to me.
My husband offered to complain but I was so annoyed and tired of the treatment we received at the front desk that I declined since it was only a one night stay and was already 8pm.

Room Tip: Do not accept a corner room, they are dark and have no natural lighting.

Not a bad stay, but more a business hotel than for travel. Room was a bit small but adequate. Clean and fairly well appointed. Our little coffee maker was broken and we asked 2x over our 6 day stay for a new one which never appeared. Breakfast included was minimal but adequate, extras availalble if you want to spend. Neighborhood was full of a variety of good restaurants. Most people staying there seemed to be on business, but not a big deal but lots of meetings going on and hustle-bustle. Originally were given an inside room, no window except into the atrium - very noisy - we requested a change which they provided but only with 2 queen beds, not the king we had booked.

Room Tip: Don't take a room on the atrium. Ask for a high room with a window.

When I found out Four Points had opened a new location in Mexico City, I had to go try it. My first impressions are a mix of bitter sweets, but some of them are due to a very new system for personnel, and it was obvious that some of their tasks were still manual. Systems were just not ready at that time.

However, regarding those things that the hotel will not easily change in the short time, I can tell you that the hotel's decor seemed superficial, and without much thought behind it. It is also obvious that most of the furniture, beds, desks, chairs were already there before Four Points took over. Just as if they had changed the name on the front door and stationary and that made it into a Four Points Hotel.

The room itself was clean, but did not show a sense of being new, remodeled. It was spotless clean and the marble floors had a mirror-clean finish (very slippery, I should also say). My room had a Hot-tub exactly between the bed and the bathroom, even though I understand the sense behind a Jacuzzi in your room, it gave it a cheap-motel look (I've sen those in the movies :) )

The window in my room was facing the neighborhood. Not a nice view. I should have asked for something overlooking the main street on the other side of the hotel.

Close to the hotel, within just a few steps you'll find a never-ending plethora of restaurants and bars. You cannot hear noise and it is a very safe area of town, so this gives the hotel a lot of points, just because of it's location.

In short, I would try this hotel again, only because it is the less expensive option for SPG in Mexico City, and probably on-par in quality with Sheraton Maria Isabel. Just don't expect it to be a mini W :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the street.

Rooms are okay, service is good, they upgraded us without even asking, but a few of the rooms have terrible toilet exhaust smells because since rooms don't have exhaust fans.. Possibly, only negative i have to say about hotel.

Great value, best hotel in immediate area!!!

Great location - great value - free WiFi that was actually fast (like stream Netflix fast). Loved how many restaurants and trendy bars there were around the hotel. The staff were 100% fluent in English and made my stay much easier than it otherwise would have been. I will say that just keep in mind this is the low end of the Starwood brand so don't expect the service to be amazingly prompt. I had to call and remind staff that they said they were going to send up this or check on that. All in all, though, I would return and would recommend it. Great value.

The front desk helped me book the english tour to teotihuacan smoothly, and stored my luggage professionally during my two day tour to guanajuato. The room has heat/cool AC which is useful during my winter stay. The location is surrounded by many restaurants. I heard there is one top spanish restaurant called Maja around, but unfortunately it closes early on Monday so I did not had the chance to go.
