We were at Red Tree House as a group of participants at an international Congress, we booked all the rooms. The atmosphere, the attention to details, the special breakfast, the fresh fruit juice all day long, the assistance for any request- Mexico City is meant to be a difficult city, but it it was not at all!-made our staying really pleasant. I recommend- together with my friends and collegues- the Red Tree House as unique place!

Our family of 2 adults and a 13 and 11 year old stayed here twice on a month trip through Mexico and Belize, 2 days at the beginning and then our last night before returning to England. We have stayed in a lot of places around the world over years of travelling and can honestly say that this is the best. It is not just the impeccable style of the house and rooms that makes an impression but the warmth, hospitality and generosity extended Ernesto, Victor, Craig, Jorge and all the staff that leaves you feeling so welcome and happy. You are quickly made to feel as if you are living at home among family and friends. Our last night here was made even more special by them and a huge thanks to you all for that.

We stayed in the garden rooms initially and then the penthouse, which is breathtaking. If you have the chance to stay in the penthouse and can go the extra mile, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Don't hesitate to stay at Red Tree House; in whichever room you decide on, the place is amazing.

All the awesome reviews you read here are accurate. We don't speak Spanish and it was our first trip to Mexico. But staying here makes us feel that we are coming home every evening.

Staff were incredible - special thanks to Ernesto and Viktor, and we couldn't get enough of their special labrador-assistant April, who is always around welcoming everyone as they walk in the door.

1. Breakfast is great and they always have a different mexican breakfast every morning.
2. Great little guest book with restaurant recommendations for Condesa (read my other reviews for the great restaurants within walking distance)
3. free wifi throughout building
4. we stayed in 3 different rooms, two of the rooms had beds that were too soft. if you have a bad back, that may not be so comfortable.
5. there is a pharmacy right across the house where you can get simple medication. Great help from Viktor as one of our party was not feeling well from the altitude and the pharmacy saved our trip!

Room Tip: No elevators, if you have difficulty climbing steps or have lots of luggages, get a room on the grou...

This was our second stay at this great B&B located in a quiet and conveniently located neighborhood in D.F. I can only repeat what has been said before - the place is lovely, quiet, and well kept. The rooms are comfortable and the hosts are charming and accommodating. There are plenty of places to dine nearby and the area is very walkable. Venture out to see the sites in the city and then purchase some wine and cheese from the nearby Superama and sit out in the patio in the late afternoon. It is a pleasure to stay there.

The owners are - as reviewed - very friendly. Quite honest, a little too friendly for me. Too much small chat - but that is just me. Breakfast was different everyday - and always good (if you are adventuresome). Rooms clean. Showers very nice. Price reasonable. We also mentionBernardo - a tour guide they recommend - is a good value to Teotihuacan (take the budget option). A note - they have a dog, rather domocile, but always around - if you do not like dogs, stay elsewhere.

This place is a gem. You get a feel for what it'd be like to live in that vibrant area of Mexico City. There's a lot of things to see/eat around the hotel. The breakfast is good!

Room Tip: I had a room out in the courtyard and it was nice to wake up to birds singing and friendly breakfast...

What a wonderful place to stay! All of the staff and the hosts are so helpful and hospitable and the location and ambiance can't be beat. Only suggestion for improvement would be new bed in Gardenia room - or at least per our preference for something firm. That said, still would absolutely recommend and return as there are few places so special.
