“Yum”
Reviewed 9 May 2013

As we walked up and down Alcala several times I kept noticing people seated on the balcony one floor up from street level. I had no idea what sort of food they served, but when the question came up three days into our stay 'where should we eat next' I suggested we investigate. We paused briefly when we realized it was a crepe place, but the menu brought fusion of Mexican and French, and there was an open table on the balcony...so we enjoyed a great meal, with crepe desserts following. Solid service.

“Favorite!!!”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

My 14 and 17 year olds just went nuts over this place. Crepes to die for. It's near a plaza on the second floor. Service is good, prices are reasonable, and your kids will thank you endlessly. We had the crepe with nutella and ice cream, and the crepe with braised pears, etc. etc. Went there twice for dessert during our stay in Oaxaca.

“Good salads”
Reviewed 27 November 2011

It can sometimes be difficult to find good salads in Oaxaca, but La Crepe provides these. I love the ensalada des frutas, which could qualify as an artistic still life, rows of thinly sliced fruits (strawberries, kiwi, banana, papaya, melon) glazed with Oaxacan honey. My husband enjoyed his tuna salad. Sit in a balcony seat and enjoy the scene outside!

“WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN”
Reviewed 1 July 2011

La Crepe?? what a joke, it the worse form of crepe one can ever hope to consume.
Flat , thick and tasteless would be a good description. The fillings were just as tragic.
The waiters were really nice, but the food needs major overhauling, being by the window is not a great idea as they have bees flies and various other attractions, of course, it does not help the food, but honestly, this was unspeakably bad...

“Their crepes with rajas are amazing.. and some of the best salads in Oaxaca”
Reviewed 7 October 2010

You wouldn't necessarily expect to find amazing salads in a French crepe restaurant in Oaxaca, but they are here - fresh, creative, delicious, and different from almost anything else you'll find in the city. They're also big, so go with a friend and split a salad and a crepe - my recommendation is the crepes with rajas... YUM!
