We LOVED Casa Oaxaca and wished we could stay longer. The room (master suite) was excellent. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful. The food was outstanding. It is surely the best hotel in town and worth every penny of the high price. I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in June for 4 nights and the service was great, you can have massages in your room just book a day in advance. We also tried the Temazcal, this you must ask for at least a day in advance it´s a great experience it does get really hot if you like saunas you will like it. The breakfast thats included is truly great, their juices fresh and every day a different bread all amazing.
If you get the rooms that are near the pool you might get some mosquitoes in the room, as the windows that face the pool don´t have screens. If you do you can ask for something they plug into an outlet it did the trick just have to have it plugged before you get back to you room to sleep.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the pool are probably better if you get bitten easily by mosquitoes and probably qui...

Very charming building with good, attentive staff. A very contrasting experience when staying here compared to the chain hotels - service is very personal. The courtyard is fantastic and the staff have nice music playing. Their sister (?) restaurant is VERY GOOD - probably the best meal we had in Mexico.

This hotel was originally an old colonial house so I found the rooms to be a bit quirky but charming. Most of them open toward a beatiful courtyard where tables are set up for dining. The suite where I stayed was spacious with several large windows looking out toward the courtyard. You could hear other guests having dinner but once you closed all of the windows and turned the ac on, noise wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable (but very squeaky) and the bathroom had nice amenities. The large vase of flowers are a nice touch. The staff was very attentive and sweet. I liked the fact that you had to ring in order to be let in. It makes for a very safe environment. The food was good and very fresh. I'll definitely return on my next stay.

Casa Oaxaca is intimate (9rooms) without being intrusive, authentic without being rugged. Rooms are lovely. Think Architectural Digest Oaxaca-style. Consistent with the town, Casa Oaxaca is filled with color and architectural interest. Staff are impressively professional and kind. They do a superb job of figuring out who you are -- not only in name but also interests. Rachel's suggestions for local food were always spot on. She, Ana and others at the front desk were always helpful in confirming hours, arranging guides, etc. The food and bar likewise are charming and provide food/drink as clever as the hotel itself. A marvelous -- and definitely repeat-worthy -- experience.

Room Tip: All are wonderful. And well-situated.
