“Quiet and nice stay in Oaxaca”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Casa de los Milagros is a very nice and quiet B&B. The best thing is the staff!!.. Nice and wiling to help to make your time with them easier and nicer. Breakfast were also awesome!!
We stayed in Gloria room, which is very nice but a little bit small for a couple. If you want to stay more than 1 or 2 nights try to get a bigger room. Also, we were stuck in the roof garden once!! Hope the lock has been fixed!
Beside of that, everything was perfect, the house is beautiful, close enough to the main area, but not noisy.. My boyfriend and I loved our time there. We will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Gloria room is not big enough for a couple if the stay is longer than 1 or 2 nights.

What a wonderful B&B! Adorable home that is less than a 10 minute walk from the Zocalo, Templo Santo Domingo, and even closer to delicious restaurants.

Rene was a fantastic guide to see amazing textiles, barro negro, a mercado in Ocotlan, and the most fantastic alebrijes workshop. He also took me on a tour of Monte Alban and was incredibly knowledgeable.

The best part of the B&B, however, was the breakfast. Cristi is an incredible chef! Best food in Oaxaca by far (and that's saying a lot because Oaxaca has amazing food!).

We totally fell in love with Oaxaca and Los Milagros was perfect. The house itself is beautiful, quiet and located in the historic part of town, 5mins walk to great restaurants and Santo Domingo Church. Service was exceptional. The host joined us for breakfast every morning and organized any activities we wanted. Speaking of breakfasts, they changed every day and were beautiful examples of scrumptious Mexican dishes. My favorite was the tortillas with cheese and squash blossoms. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I stayed at Casa de los Milagros recently for a week and had an excellent time. The house itself is very nicely decorated and well maintained. It is located in a quieter part of the city, but within easy access to most things. The breakfasts were amazing and it was a treat to sit and linger in the big, beautiful kitchen where they were served. Wi-Fi and AC are available.

Rene, who is a tour guide and works for the hotel, was very helpful in answering questions and making recommendations for things to see and do. I even took a couple of tours with him to some of the surrounding villages and was able to meet several master artisans that I would have never come across had I just taken a bus or a taxi. He also took me to markets in Ocotlan and Tlacolula, which should not be missed for the sheer abundance of produce, spices, textiles, and more!

I can't recommend Casa de los Milagros enough and look forward to returning for another visit myself!

We loved our stay at Casa Milagros- the decor, art, bright colour scheme and atmosphere are charming and beautiful. Our room was comfortable with everythingn needed including a great shower; the bathroom had a huge vase of fresh calla lilies. The staff were gracious and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous- in presentation and flavors We couldn't recommend Casa Milagros more!

I so enjoyed staying at Casa Milagros. What a wonderful, comfortable atmosphere. Our host was
generous with his time and attention. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented,
and we were very fortunate in sharing our time there with delightful, congenial guests.
Very fortunate choice. I recommend Casa Milagros absolutely.

Room Tip: Room on the first floor. No stairs.

My husband and I started our trip to Oaxaca with 3 nights at Casa Milagros. We were welcomed, made to feel completely at home and blown away at how beautiful this house is. Spacious is an understatement. The entry way and huge staircase feels like a beautiful museum. The kitchen is gorgeous, fully stocked for cooking (if that's your thing) and the deck on the roof was enjoyable for a sip of mezcal in the evening. It would be the perfect place for 3 couples traveling together. The staff was gracious and the breakfasts were a work of art. Thank you for making our stay so lovely. We can't wait to come back and stay a little longer.
