We were a little unlucky with the noisy street corner room. The room itself is very nice and had a good bed. The small sitting area in the courtyard looks a little outdated. They seem to have a great restaurant, but the two snacks we took in the outdoor area were both very dry of taste. So we decided not to eat in the restaurant.

Muchas Gracias!
Lamentamos que no haya visitado el Restaurante, pero agradecemos sus comentarios sobre el ruido. Ya estamos trabajando en eso y muy pronto tendremos ventanas antiruido en nuestras habiraciones como parte de nuestro plan de mejoras.
Saludos.

Thank you to all the people that works at this exceptional place. The comfort I experienced was immediate, but when I tried their food my body and soul was conquered completely. There is not other place where you can enjoy more San Cristobal that in Tierra y Cielo. I toured many places and visited the whole city…needless to say that when I come back to San Cristobal I want to stay again here in Tierra y Cielo.
Thank you

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel, the place could be called charminig, rooms are okay, bathrooms are dark and imposible to manuever in, having old rusted faucets is not quiant. The food from the restaurant is creative, very good, but the service all around from lobby to restaurant staff is inexistent. My husband, two children and I stayed at this hotel, everyday I would ask for 4 towels, only two and one day 3. The restaurant would take forever to serve, food was cold once it got to the table, one order of enchiladas took 50 minutes, don't ask for there select coffees, still waiting.....Having to eat there several days after a while the bad service does start to get on your nerves, I would not recommend this hotel to stay in but do visit the restaurant if you have TIME to go, the food is worth one bad service....

Room Tip: Choose rooms second floor, less noise..

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The rooms, the service, the staff and the location could not be better. The restaurant gave us some of the most tantalising food we have ever tasted. There are cheaper places to stay in San Cristobal but if your up to spoiling yourself, this is the place to be.

On the surface brilliant but our room had a huge damp stain in the wardrobe and the musty smell was so overpowering so that it affected my sleep and my daughter's breathing. Our clothes now still smell damp. It is in a great location however and there were lots of lovely touches such as a welcoming local drink but overall not worth the money in view of the discomfort.

Room Tip: Make sure you're not in room 102 unless they've rectified the damp situation.

Excellent location, two blocks from the "Zocalo", nicely decorated rooms, pleasant service. The best feature is the restaurant where you find good dishes even during longer stays (we stayed four nights). Good value for the money.

Room Tip: Chose a room upstairs where you can leave the windows open

During the second day of our stay in the hotel, an iPad went missing from our room. After searching thoroughly through the room we reported the incident to the management. Their first response was of incredulity implying that the misplacing of the ipad was entirely our responsibility. After asking to talk to the owner they told that he was unavailable at the moment but that that would take a look at the security tapes. Several hours later and without any kind of response or evidence of any interest from the staff the owner finally met with us. He told us that they hadn't finished reviewing the tapes but that he had questioned the maid and she had denied taking any action in the incidence. He said that he completely trusted the word of the maid, implying again that we were either lying about the robbery or that the responsibility fell entirely on us. In the end they never offered to show us the security tapes (we don't even know if they even exist or work), and we only got a vague and poor apology. They didn't even tried to offer us any kind of discount or amenity.

In conclusion, be careful if you stay in this hotel, because once an incident of this kind happens, usually this will continue to happen. Do not expect any useful help in solving your problem from the management or the owner.
