I have been to many great architectural places of worship but the San Cristóbal Cathedral is plain average.

None of the details are all that impressive ... the paint work on the faccade is nice though.

Good example of colonial architecture and baroque combination. I enjoyed the 17th century paintings.

Take some time to look at the design of the facade of this cathedral. When you go inside you will see much of the design was carried inside as well. There are two beautiful flanking altars as well as the main altar of the church. The interior columns are definitely substantial and do much to separate the main nave from the rest of the church.

A visit here is definitely worth your time.

There is a constantly changing assortment of activity here, such as live musical events, art and political actions, street performances, vendors, and just about everything else you could think of, day and night.

Many churches in the city; all worth visiting to experience the differences; I still wonder why, with all the wealth of the Catholic Church, there is still so much poverty in the city?
