“Perfect spot for a salad”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 via mobile

Looking for tasty salad lunches, cocoliche came out on top.

Huge portion, home made dressing (Caesar) and a beautiful kooky environment to enjoy it in.

Good value and the other dishes looked good too.

Definitely worth a visit

“Our favourite restaurant in Mexican so far!”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

Happened upon Cocoliche a few nights ago - had a delicious meal (great guacamole; & thoroughly fresh & tasty green & red curries); & were entertained by a talented Latin Jazz band. Within a short time, most patrons (those that weren't still eating) were up dancing between tables. Amazing atmosphere. We're back for lunch (a wonderful Vietnamese salmon curry; a fresh toasted pita with salad) & the vibe is much the same. Unpretentious & comfortable. Caters well for tourists but still seems authentically Mexican. The staff speak English & offer menus in the same. The patronage is mixed. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

“Loved the food”
Reviewed 13 June 2013

I stumbled upon this place and thought it looked quirky and worth a try. Then I actually came back again the next day again for the chicken Cesar salad - was really fresh and the house-made dressing was perfect. The waitstaff seemed a little distracted both times I was there, however, even when I was one of the only people in the restaurant. But, was worth it for that salad!

“Regular, nit for families.”
Reviewed 30 May 2013 via mobile

I just had lunch with family on the 25th of may after reading all the great reviews. Personally I was not satisfied and based on the reviews I had high expectations.

Food was average but price was good. The interior was average/below average. Eclectic interior perhaps hippies would love it.

We had this waiter that had long hair with half the hair shaved. Right side. Anyway not one smile, and just not fun having hair as a waiter. Maybe she did not like serving us because we were not punks. I did see anothr staff member and she appeared very nice perhaps it was the owner.

So, depends on your style and budget this may be your place to go. If you want something elegant & yummi or have kids not you place

“Best all-around restaurant in town”
Reviewed 27 March 2013

Excellent food and a great mix of cuisines on the menu; unique atmosphere with a mix of expats, locals, and tourists (hardly any other restaurant in town manages to pull that off); fabulous service. I've never heard a bad musician play there, and I've visited at least 30 times over the past 3 years.
