Stayed here a few months back in september 2013. The kitchen is sparse and not too clean. It appeared thrown together. The hot water did not work in the showers at all for several days. There was a brief second or two when it was scalding hot at first then nothing but cold. I do not think the hot water had enough pressure to mix with the cold. The entrance doors for the bathrooms were those saloon type doors, and from the lobby area one could hear people in the bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Interweb signal was good. We paid 70 pesos each for a huge private room with a large table and 2 chairs. There was a fuzzy white mold on a few places along the wall, and the room smelled sour. It also felt a bit damp. The place was clean and quiet. Seems the party is at other hostels. So for that we enjoyed it. However there are some basic services and a bit of mold that would steer me to a different establishment next time around.
