We loved staying here. The house is beautiful and the room was big and with a nice hot shower, bath. Bug free and clean with windows. You have a nice courtyard and in spite of being part of a house, it is very private, no rooms share the same floor, very quaint. The owner is great and very helpful and since we love dogs it was nice to meet her puppies.

Very nice stay, we will definitely go again.

Bela's is a charming setting, and matched the reviews on Trip Advisor. Breakfasts were great, a wonderful selection of food and with great coffee, and the location is terrific. We were a party of three, so my brother and his wife took one of the regular rooms with bath - quite charming and spacious. I would advise against the single room with shared bath which I took, a space so small there is literally no where to sit except on the bed. This was made worse by the lack of a warm "social space" - there's a couch and sitting area outside but at 7C the bed looked warmer, the living room appeared to be unavailable, and the chiminea in the dining room was only lit seconds before breakfast. Overall the place is very nice, but we did get the feeling that it might have been a little more cared for previously. We would have enjoyed seeing more of Bela, especially in the morning before we set out for the day. And while she was eager to agree to the three requests we had made, nothing ever materialized. Over all a lovely setting, but needing a bit of attention.

Room Tip: Stay away from the single rooms with shared bathes if you're not there in the summer.

How not to fall in love with a garden with sweet smelling jasmine and dancing hummingbirds?

My room was along the corridor without attached bathroom. The bathroom was next door with one shower, two toilets and two sinks. It was supposed to be shared with Bela however I didn't get to meet her as she was travelling during my stay. The shower was hot; there were hot and cold taps which you adjust the temperature accordingly. One of the sinks which I was supposed to use, both hot and cold taps were loose so the whole taps turned whenever I tried to turn on the taps. Having hot and cold taps individually also meant that it was difficult to wash with water of an extreme temperature, ie. too hot or too cold. I was so frustrated that I had to use the other sink instead.

The room was small but cosy; just nice for one person. The duvet was toasty and the bed comfortable. A warm fleece bathrobe was provided but good to bring a pair of covered bedroom slippers for warmer toes.

The breakfast room looked out to the beautiful garden and breakfast was good. Generous fruit salad, yoghurt, granolas, bread, eggs, juice, tea and coffee. You can make a cup of tea whenever you want and they have a good selection of caffeine-free teas.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the benefit of Bela's presence and knowledge in English.

The place is super cozy, great ambiance, beautiful gardens, a place to meet people, share ideas and experiences. Bela is a great host, Manuela cooks delicious, and the B&B is located in great area! Walking distance to zócalo. Just ask Bela, she has the answers!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Bela's. It was a beautiful house with private rooms, a little on the pricey side but worth it. The room had hot water and was big enough and comfortable. Breakfast was included and the room was neat and clean. It is in a good location, a short walk to the Zocolo (city center). Bela herself was very helpful and it was really a fun experience.

I would recommend Bela's to anyone who is going to San Cristobal. Our room was comfortable and pleasant, the breakfasts were delicious. The location is quite but only a short walk away from the center of town. Bela's suggestions for local activities and restaurants were excellent.

We plan to return sometime in years to come.

We literally don't have the words to describe how much fun we had at Bela's B&B! The place is amazingly beautiful - the view to the heavenly garden is seen from each of the rooms. The area is very cenral yet quiet. The room (suite) is anything you could wish in a honeymoon suite (its a huge, equipped one!), Breakfest was perfect.. but -
The most important factor which made all the difference was Bela, our wonderful hostess, which accomodated us with sincere love and generousity. Her tips and recomendations were fantastic, and the welcoming manner had done the difference for us. Thank you Bela!
