“Beautiful Exterior/ Outstanding Interior”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

The front entrance was being worked on, once inside its a spiritual experience. The attention to detail on the 3 dimensional interior wall art was magnificent.

“I agree with taking a guided tour”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

We were absolutely enchanted by the story and the random facts about this building. For example, the artist of the religious paintings inside the church put himself in all of them! Kind of like photobombing his own art. Also, we had never seen a painting depicting the circumcision of Christ, I mean, most people back then didn't even want to think about the fact that Jesus himself was a Jew. We found all this utterly interesting. Also, the little square outside of the church is very charming and you will find very cute crafts for purchase. Plus, do not forget about buying silver jewelry. Silver from Mexico never tarnishes and the artistry is one of a kind.

Great history behind this building, the architecture is amazing. It is recommended to read before going and also pay a guided tour, it's worth it....
