Stayed 2 days in this small hotel just one block from the main plaza. Great location. A little too much quality price. However, they have valet parking included in the price which is great because most hotels do not have parking¡,,

Friendly hotel staff
Located one block from Santa Prisca which is the center of tourist Taxco
It is a multi-floored hotel; there is no elevator
Nice televisions in the room
Note: showers have covers on them; don’t drain unless removed
Parking underneath; need to valet park
Note: Recommend don’t drive in Taxco

Room Tip: It is a multi-floored hotel; there is no elevator

We came to taxco at the last minute and started looking on line driving in . The one condition I had is Air Conditioning is a must . Being a Seattle native heat is not my friend . The Best Western Taxco had this in their amenities . When we arrive we asked to see a room and check the AC . I got the smaller room and it was perfect for me . The hotel is older but maintained well and the AC worked great. The hotel is just a short walk to the town square and the shops and restaurants are right outside the front door. When I get back to Taxco I will not stay anywhere else. The staff was very friendly and helpful , my hats off to the Best Western in this little tiny old old town . Wonderful visit .

You cannot really expect large rooms in a Best Western hotel. However, these are quite tiny compared to rooms a usual BW would have. No matter this, you will not mind when you realize where you are located. You are really where you want/need to be in Taxco. A block away from Santa Prisca and the Zocalo, near to the various restaurants around downtown, close to banks (ATM's) and various galeries and shops. You will not need to take a taxi unless you want to do a side trip but other than that everything is within walking distance. Do not expect fancy decoration or incredible views but just standard, clean rooms. Be aware that it can get noisy due to the proximity to the streets, also the walls between rooms let many of the sounds go through. Hotel offers free parking but you have to leave your car keys with the valet and ask for your car 30 min in advance when you need it returned.

Room Tip: Try to choose a room that does not face the street, it can get noisy.

Well.... I'm not a big fan of Best Westerns but it was the best I was able to find while researching online. The property is located near several silver stores and attractions. So... location is really good, Now... regarding the property itself, hallways have a strange smell, the doors to access the rooms (white) have marks of dirty hands on them (inside and outside), the courtains where EXTREMELY dusty and they even had a little death bug attached. The bed was nothing spectacular. The bathroom, even though it was celan, it is too small and becomes hard for a regular size person to move within the place. If you ever have to visit this hotel, please consider the parking lot. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! The property has two parking places. The first one is arround 20 mins from the hotel, and the second one is located in the hotel (backstreet), due to the fact that Taxco has really narrow streets it is a nightmare to park, I was driving a Toyota Corolla. Last but not least, the hotel is EXTREMELY noisy, I was assigned a room overlooking the backstreet, and there were taxis, trucks and cars passing by all night, which was really anoying.

Room Tip: Pick a room which does not overlooks the backstreeto fo the hotel, those are EXTREMELY nosiy

I was really amazing by how close this best western was to everywhere I needed to go. The main jewelery stores are right next door and there are also great restaurants all around. I stayed in a standard room and was overall very satisfied with the service.

Word of warning - if you're travelling independently as we were, this place is almost impossible to find. We drove past it 3 times without realising and only found it thanks to a very helpful Transit Policewoman.

And - another word of warning - Taxco is NOT a town you want to go driving around willy nilly. The streets are mainly 2 way even though they should be designated one way only - they are typical colonial streets - and the taxis drive like mad men...

Aside from this; the hotel is decidely average. Absloutely nothing to rave about except the location, which, when you finally find it, you will love. All the silvershops right on your doorstep and good restaurants and bars abound.

We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a bit of noise from surrounding bars until the early hours, but nothing too bad...if you want to stay overnight in Taxco it didn't seem to us that there would be anywhere better to stay...but keep in mind that's not saying much...
