Having had a traumatic noisy night at Mar y Tierra I relocated the next morning to this hotel around the corner. Rooms were the same price but a much better standard, had a window that opened out onto the street with a side view of the castle. Even with the window open it was quiet in the room. The staff were lovely and the room was a silent haven. I was so tired I wanted to cry with joy, and kiss the porter who checked the aircon and fan to show me how quiet it was.
Nice sized room, lovely pillows and comfy bed, great shower room/toilet. Lovely communal areas and great pool. Bar and restaurant. Also a small gym. Jacuzzi was not in operation. And a safe in the room.
A couple of minute's walk from the malecon/seafront and about 10-15 minutes from the zocalo.
I would have given this hotel 5 stars but there is only wifi in the communal areas.
As a female visitor travelling alone I found it a bit of a lonely walk back to the hotel from the main square in the evening, though this is true of a number of hotels that are near the seafront and I was perfectly safe.
I liked this hotel so much I returned for an overnight stay a month later when I had to get a flight from Veracruz airport.
