““And Gabriela makes the Omelets””
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

The service and the staff are what makes this small resort exceptional. Everyone was very cheerful and eager to serve! There are many advantages of a small resort. All of the restaurants, the lobby, the shops, the business center, the pools, the beach, etc. are very close to each other. I have stayed at large resorts and every time you forget something and have to go back to your room or want to go anywhere, you either have to wait for a shuttle which can take up to 30 minutes or walk a half-mile.

Everyday breakfast started off in the buffet with Gabriela making the omelets. One secret is to request fresh mushrooms which Gabriela has in the back instead of using the ones that are already out.

My fiancé and I looked at a few rooms and all of them are nice, and nonsmoking, whether it's a lagoon view or an ocean view. The balconies are very large and every room has one. Every room also has a double jacuzzi and a free mini bar with liquor dispenser (4 one liter bottles of vodka, rum, tequila and whiskey). Whenever anything runs out, just dial "0" on the phone and they will replenish it free of charge. And Gabriela makes the omelets.

When this resort says all-inclusive, that's what it means. This also includes 24-hour room service! I have heard about a more expensive resort in Cancun charging $3 for each packet of coffee used in the room.

The Wok restaurant is good and definitely worth a visit. The tuna sashimi was delicious. The only fault that I can find with the hotels on the east coast of the hotel zone is the rough waves in the water. It is safer and recommended to go swimming on the north coast of the hotel zone or Isla Mujeres. The sea at "La Playa Norte" or "the North Beach" in Isla Mujeres is very calm. You can walk out 50 to 100 yards into the water and it is still shallow. And Gabriela makes the omelets.

All in all, the Beach Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico is a wonderful place to stay on business or a vacation. I highly recommend it. And Gabriela makes the omelets.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but some may prefer an ocean view over a lagoon view room.

Having made reservations six months ahead for two rooms with ocean view, we were disappointed that our reservation request was not honored. There was a convention that was given all the ocean view rooms. The rooms were nice, but on the lagoon side, close to lots of street noise that did not let up 24/7. As is usual at Palace Resorts, service and food were excellent. The beach is quite nice and there is a good children's club.
We ended up leaving after one night because of the noise and there were no rooms available even for an upgrade.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ocean side are much quieter than on the lagoon side, but requests are not always honore...

This is by far the best vacation I have had thus far. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made everyone they talked to feel like friends they had known forever. Every morning I had the best omelette prepared by Gabriela, and she was like a family member greeting you in the kitchen at home. We happened to be there for a wedding. Mario was over seeing the wedding ceremony and he was both professional and fun. I have never eaten so much in my entire life. There were only 2 things I would improve upon; 1.) The food in the Asain restaurant and 2.) More activities on Sundays. Overall the trip and hotel far exceeded my expectations.

Room Tip: Be sure to request a room beach side, my best friends room was lagoon side and their view was not as...

My wife and I have been traveling to Mexico now for 8 years and have stayed a lot of places but the Moon Palace and the Beach palace are excellent! Moon Palace is for family and Beach Palace is for party,.. Food at all of there resorts is 5 star for all inclusive and you can visit any of the palace resorts and try there dining. Oh yeah the beach at Beach Palace is the best beach in the country water is definantly aqua blue. Make sure you go I went 4/15/12-4/21/12. One more it's close to all food and shopping too

As always the service in the restaurant is excellant. Special servers, Ivan and Jose Antonio, made our evening meals a pleasant experience. Both were very attentive and we were fortunate to have them serve us on several different nights of our stay. The food was very good, but lacked variety. We found that it was much better last year,( 2011). The hotel was always very well cleaned and maintained, although some of the juice refreshments in the room fridge were not stocked daily. The beach crew was very efficient in maintaining the area in front of the Palace, for as we walked the beach twice daily we notice that some of the others did not dispose of the seaweed or rake the sand as it was done at our hotel making it a very pleasant beach area. All around, a lovely stay, and we will be back next year. See you all then.!!

Spent a week in Feb enjoying the all inclusive luxury. Service was very good, rooms well equipped and staff were great, Nice to that they have 2 roof top pools and bars for the days when it was windy down on the beach. very relaxing environment which is what we needed.
would recomend to others, location very central to walking the beach and visiting the local shopping mall. Staff all spoke very good english and were every polite and helpful.

My family and I have travelled the Caribbean extensively the last few years. We have never come across a resort where the staff really made every effort possible to make your stay a memorable one. You will read reviews here about the shortfalls of this resort, and really you will find them no matter where you travel. But what really stood out for me and my family, and what prompted me to write this reveiw was the awesome service. Not only did we get help when we asked, but on several occasions we were offered help before we asked. I know you might say that is their job, but realistically, it does not happen at most places. Sure the staff will be friendly, but never have I stayed at a resort where the staff went above and beyond. It happened so many times during our 7 night stay, it would take too long to list. But suffice it to say, if you are looking for a resort where you will be taken care of, this is it!
