“12th Time and still great”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

So this was our 12th time at this resort. We started staying here when it was Blue Bay and Chino & Omar the entertainment staff were there then. The entertainment is still fun but not as far great as it was not sure what the heck is wrong with management in this aspect they need to get back with Chino & Omar. Yes the entertainment is XX rated but you would know that if you check the reviews. Topless all shapes and sizes. If your hung over and don't feel like in the party mood go to the quite pool which has a swim up bar and is far more low key then the party pool. Food well you can get whatever you want for breakfast eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, yogurts' , cereal, great juices so for picky eaters I'm not sure what else you could ask for. Lunch pizza burgers, tacos, beans rice fabulous chicken curry, ice cream, desserts. Dinner you can make reservations at Italian or Japanese both are impeccable otherwise you can go to seafood or buffet. The buffet one night had Brazilian food where they come by you're table with big shish kabob sticks of meat and shrimp it was good. Beach is nice warm water some what clear very shallow you can walk out about 15 feet and water is still at your stomach level you can see lots of small fish. We spend much of our time at the party pool and beach. We stayed July 16th -23rd 2014 We also this time took Steve's Boobs cruise well this was an experience for us it was TRIPLE XXX rated but fun in all and knew that before going worth the money, an adult snorkel cruise is $65 and Steve's cruise was $85 did I say CHINO & OMAR are your host for entertainment well worth the money you can only book this trip online at Cancuncare.com. STEVE IF YOUR LISTENING PAY THESE PEOPLE MORE THERE WORTH IT TO KEEP THEM. Stayed in room 5112 which was fabulous Our room was clean and perfect housekeeping was great tipped them $5 a day just left on bedside table with a little note if we needed something extra like water or beer worth it trust me. Tipped bartenders $3 a day, Dinner $5-$10 . You don't have to tip but they deserve it.
LISTEN TO ME IF THEY PUT YOU ANYWHERE NEAR PATTY O BAR GET ANOTHER ROOM if you ever want to sleep the music starts at 10pm and lasts till 2am the bar stays open till 6am so all the party people are right outside your bedroom door partying all night and morning. All in all another great trip for us weather hot hot used 50 sunscreen still got burned.

Arrive at hotel, have reservation papers with confirmation #'s, travel agent info and all. Was told we weren't on the list on computer, so as 3 couples check in while we r still in line, while agent Alex is on phone. Told we could leave our passports at front desk or pay for 1 night....NO!!! I was not about to leave my passport anywhere in a foreign country, so I asked to speak to a manager, he told me he was one...right! So I inquire about my friends, 1 couple, meeting us there, he was snappy with me & said well do that in a minute. After a long day of travel, some nozzle trying to shake me down for more $$$$, when I paid for everything months ago, now I'm irritated. He finally acknowledged that I needed no stairs, can't do stairs when on bottle. He then took our drivers licenses as " collateral" until he could straighten out reservation situation the next day. Now he tries to send us to concierge, oh no!!! I said I'm not doing that either & proceeded to find room. They literally bombard u for time share bologna with a tour of property, I'm irritated now. Get to room, paid for king jacuzzi suite. Burn hole in comforter, tv remote doesn't work, phone doesn't work, no plug for jacuzzi, wow, scared at this point. However, the food is pretty good for all inclusive, only did breakfast at buffet, steak & seafood place as well as Asian restaurant are the best, no reservation at steak/ seafood place. U often have to ask for items multiple times before u get them. Sarahi is amazing waitress at paty o's. Carlos & Herbert "El Tigre" are great bartenders, they rotate bartenders around all bars at hotel. Day 2 am, go to front desk to retrieve drivers licenses, now Diana is on phone, still need time to straighten out our situation. We have to give them more time.... Tell her no plug for jacuzzi, phone doesn't work, tv remote doesn't work ( only 2 English language channels there). We had fun at sexy pool, u generally have to go to bar to get those drinks yourself :( Javier brought me a few. Fun activities & contests, even if u oonly watch. Day 3, of 5 day stay, check front desk again, Alexis is back & says he tried to call us, reservation situation is all worked out, tell him items not working in our room, he asks if he can send someone to fix, sure. I notice as he pulls out a file, tons of people's passports & licenses, so they r trying to run this game on tons of folks, omg!! Still, staff friendly, besides front desk. Finally got: plug for jacuzzi & phone operational on day 4, TV remote never worked. Great for people watching, u normally pay for that kind of funny. Little risqué, who cares?? I stayed fully clothed entire time, quiet pool awesome for relaxing, chairs just uncomfortable at all bars :( out dated, a little musty, also fun & decent food. Probably won't stay here again.

We love TTR and this was our 4th time. We are members and enjoy being so. We definitely feel they take care of the Premier Members. The only thing I was disappointed about this year was the entertainment staff. None of them seemed like they wanted to be there. JJ was the best but things have gone South since Chinos and his crew left. Not sure what the deal is with the entertainment group but no happy with them at all this year. Food was again amazing and Village Wok is always our favorite! Pool definitely needs to be cooler, not refreshing at all!!!!
Other than that, always a wonderful time and it's our home away from home year after year:)

PROS:
uncensored party atmosphere for mature crowd (mostly couples)
nice beach
excellent AC in room
2 person shower with glass door (thats a plus for me becuz i loathe shower curtains
spacious patios with rooms
polite staff/great bartenders
EXCELLENT service in the restaurants that require reservations

CONS:
sneaky sales tactics
DAMP sheets/smelly pillows/moldddddddd
super slippery floors in room
SUBPAR FOOD (with a few exceptions I'll explain below)
SMALL resort

So my sister and I booked here knowing two things: the rooms would be average, the food was going to be lackluster but we wouldnt be bored because it was basically going to be like naked spring break. And although we arent nudist type gals we wanted to have a good time with ppl who were basically letting loose, we wanted to have fun!
Did we have fun? Yes! But that's because were awesome and pretty outgoing. WOULD I STAY AGAIN? NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Let me fully explain the cons so that you know what you're getting in to

SNEAKY SALES
After check-in we were greeted by a team member who did the whole go over the resort map thing and then hes like ok so what do you want for your free promotional gift? cup? t shirt? tequilla? of course we want the tequilla. Hes like ok fill out this form lets set up a time to meet tomorrow and i'll have bottle for you. We looked at each other like yea right we know what this is, def not going.
Sorry Aris we blew you off, we know u were just doing your job but neither of us wanted to spend a minute listening to a presentation about premiere "benefits" when everything thats offered in this "exclusive vip" type package is offered AT NO EXTRA COST at other resorts ive stayed in (ahem, RIU for example)
Also there was a phone call early the next morning saying we needed to bring our transfer slip down to the lobby or something and im like what? Its only our 2nd day why do they need that so soon were staying for 4 nights. Turns out that was about to be another presentation for tours we can take. no thank you. stop it with the sneaky sales

THE ROOM
We didnt come here for luxury but at the very least I expect CLEAN FRESH LINENS
The first day was fine but after being out in the sun all day we realized that the sheets would be sort of damp and it just seemed to get worse and worse each day. The moisture inside the room was triple anything i've ever experienced in other tropical climates. The floors were so slippery all the time Im so glad that i brought socks to wear around the room

FOOD
we knew the food wasnt going to be great based on other reviews here but geesh. The buffet was just blah, thats how the food tasted. Like blah. You're literally only eating it because you've paid for it/you're drunk and know that you need food in your belly. There was an eggshell in my scrambled eggs but i continued eating them because at least i knew they were using real eggs and not the powdered stuff. I also bit into a super stale hashbrown :( Also many of the foods have this sweet smell and taste? I think it was the butter they were using, i distinctly remember it in the potato soup at the italian place and the mashed potatoes.
Make reservations at the italian and the asian place thats where the decent food is and great great service.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the quiet pool which was perfect

I have just returned from temptations yesterday with friends (girls 22-33yrs)

Shock factor when I first arrived as I saw a man behaving like a breast fed baby in the sexy pool!! - if you are overly bothered by this already then don't book.....there was more!

Had a mixture of ages, genders, races, couples and singles although about 70% are couples.....had enough singles to keep you going if that's what you want.
Saw two wheel chair users who said they was happy with service.

POOLS
3 pools...
QUITE = escape the madness and chill.

SEXY = games of a sexual content and you DO see this at this pool .

SPORTS = not much going on here, foam party, diving taster and volleyball. Not much chairs for you to lounge on either.

Topless at ALL pools (not compulsory) but you will see women of ALL shapes and sizes.

FOOD
All inc resort and yes buffet is repetitive, more so at breakfast so stick to one type of breakfast each day (day 1 toast, 2 fry up, 3 fruit and yogurt, 4 pancakes ect)
You can walk into the seafood and margarita (lunch here too) restaurant for dinner but have to book the Asian and Italian which are both nice. We booked a day in advance and went many times. No worry unless your a very fussy eater.
other than buffet restaurant no swimwear allowed and sometimes they turn you away if you are in flip flops (stupid)
24 hours food and 22 hours of drinking a day. Buy a bubba cup if you can....google if you don't know what I mean, they sell these there.

ROOMS
Tidy, maid service everyday and mini fridge always filled with beer, coke and water. Rooms are tidy, I witnessed them cleaning rooms after parties have left....scrubbed chairs, windows ect.
Had ants in our room, called and within 3 minutes the maid arrived with spray, she even let me go nuts with the spray....I personally think they should do this each day.
Enough space for clothes and I'm female and have a large double wardrobe to myself at home. Just bring extra hangers if you are like me. Some rooms have a sink in the actual room (right next to your bed), hate that idea - no baths only showers in rooms.
Asked for a quite room 8weeks before arriving and was pleased we got it....rooms in the 5000s will allow you to get sleep.
Got a shock when flicking through the TV...two adult channels.
They do not offer a fold up bed option.....maximum of 2 double beds.

Entertainment

Day and night activities
Day = non motorised water sports, foam party and sexy pool games.

Night = strip show, music every night, all white party, lingerie party and at an extra cost they take you to night clubs on the strip.
Coco bongo a must - we only paid $30usd (not via the hotel)

10 minuets bus ride from the strip and Not walkable. only $1usd or around £0.65p and they run often and all night.

Internet is 200 peso for 24hours but will allow you to use all social media for the full 24hours unlike the tmobile booster that ran out in 2 hours!

Solo travelers will make friends and have a good time.

Message me if you would like any more information.

Hello everyone,

Stayed from July 9,2014 to July 16,2014

First i would have to point out this was my first time in Mexico, Cancun and at a All-Inlusive. And yes I am so glad Temptation was the first place i ever chose because i do not think i could ever go back to another place. I now feel i have to take 2 vacations. One week designated to here and one week just to recuperate.

This was the best vacation ever for me because i came here on my own. Being a lone wolf is usually how i like to travel. There is something about Temptation is absolutely magical, I guess i would have to say its the people. I never met so many great and entertaining people in my life and i was just glad i was able to meet so many of you. Being here just brought out the party animal in me. I normally would never party as hard as i did at Temptation. But it just allowed me to let loose of my inhibitions and finally truly relax and be myself. The advantage of being on my own really allowed not to worry about what my friends would think but just allowed me to just enjoy myself and have a really good time.

I would like to point out a few things about the food at Temptation. The food at El Embarcadero is okay some things are great and some are alright.

Margaritaville i found to have better food on average. I only wish it was spicier for certain Mexican dishes but the staff was willing to add Jalapeño peppers so i couldn't complain.

Il Placiere food was actually the best out of all the restaurants i tried. The beef carpaccio was pretty tasty, Veal Scaloppinini romana was succulent and moist and the mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth flavour. Makes sense why you need a reservation.

Just one important factor i would like to point out that Temptation is a special place you are not there for the food you are there for the Party. And if you want a party you will get it.

A few key amazing experience i had i would have to point out was my late night adventure to The City. That place was truly something i scaled almost every floor i could access of that club. I even went so far as to be so crazy and walk back from the City to Temptation. As i approached the front gate security asked me if I was lost, but i just replied "Hola, no perdito, i made it" and then pointed at my wristband signifying i was a guest.

The other was at Palazzo lets just say before i left that night before going to Pallazo i had already been out to the city the night before. So going to the Pallazo i had already consumed 3 glasses of wine at dinner, a shot of tequila, half a can of red bull and on the bus ride there i most likely drank half a bottle filled with Scooby-doo drink mixture. To sum things up it made me believe I was Jackie Chan at one moment and that i was going to do some crazy stunt of scaling down walls and drop in like a boss on our fellow guests and go whats up. That obviously ended very badly. Amazingly after all the madness that ensued afterward i made it back to Temptation. I could go on but i just wanted to share those two key experiences as how crazy things can get at Temptation.

Honorable mentions of some of the great staff at Temptation:

Julianne=You sure made darts interesting game to play and you made us Canadians proud during the beer drinking contest.

Roxanne=I am glad you told me about the night out to "The City" or else i would never have gone on my intrepid journey walking back to Temptation!

Martha=You are one hard working Maid. Your Turtle towel designs are impressive.

Oscar=Our conversations in El Embarcadero kept me thoroughly entertained especially when you taught me how to ask the local Mexican ladies to dance in spanish.

Jack/Jacinto= You sure kept the drinks flowing and were quite swift in doing so at Paty' O

Freddy and the rest of the bar staff at the Sexy Pool= You guys really helped lift my spirits after i explained the fiasco at Palazzo.

Miguel=I appreciate you sharing the Tequila you prefer to drink down at the Sports/Alternative bar.

Carlos= Ha ha you sure were helpful on my first day there checking in and refreshing my memory on important Spanish phrases.

Elizabeth= That massage was quite relaxing it was exactly what i needed considering the night i had out before.

Alberto= You were so accommodating at the spa considering the situation that arose the night before. I really appreciate you going the extra mile to ensure i was able to use the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi at a later time due to the situation i had to resolve.

I am pretty sure i have forgotten to mention some staff. If so I apologize since i met so many people there it truly became a challenge to remember everyone. I am just glad to be apart of such a magical experience.

Room Tip: If you need to sleep do not take a room next to Paty'O music starts booming at 10 and ends at 2a...

This was our first trip to this resort, but our third (together) trip to Cancun. We have been to another more quiet and traditional resort in Cancun the previous two trips together before. This time we wanted somewhere that had nightlife and fun ON the resort so we did not need to leave unless we wanted to. We were not let down! Great trip. Yes, the beach was not the greatest. But honestly, we do not go to Cancun for the beach. We are not beach type people. We go for the vacation and to spend time at the pool to drink.

The people...the people are so friendly and as long as you do not seclude yourself, you will make great friends and have a fantastic time! Yes, there are some "swinger" types down there, but honestly, it is not a swinger resort. We only saw maybe one or two couples that were in that lifestyle and they were not in peoples face with it. My wife and I are pretty conservative considering, I think, and we weren't bothered with anything about the resort. As a matter of fact, we even partook in a few of the resorts daily activities!

The place is just a non-stop party and we loved it. They have a quiet area as well that we utilized a couple of times to "recover" from our previous crazy drinking days. The vacation is what you make it. We will be back for sure. The food isn't the greatest, but I have had a lot worse too at other places. The bartenders pour with a heavy hand. Take some tip money as they work hard and throwing them a dollar here and there doesn't hurt! I would recommend getting a room that is not in the Paty O's (nightly party spot) area unless you love to be up late or can sleep through anything - lol! We did not listen to people's warning and by night three were wishing we had, but were too lazy to move rooms half way through our trip.

We are already looking at dates for next Summer and can't wait! Do not listen to the negative reviews. The trip is what you make it. Yes some of the games might be a little much for some, but nobody is forcing you to be included! Again, we are a conservative couple in a lot of traditional senses, and we had the time of our lives!

Make sure to look up Steve and his AMAZING cruise!!! See you in what feels like an eternity TTR!

Room Tip: Unless you can sleep through a rock concert or love to stay up and party until 6am seven days a week...
