We can only say good things in regards to our guide, Arturo and Captain, Jesus. Seas were rough, and Jesus' knowledge on how to drive in rough conditions was amazing! I got seasick and Arturo took care of me, out of the water and in! He was always smiling. If we would have known that we would be at the docks at 8:05am instead of 7am and returned to our resort at 6:20pm and not 4pm we would have spent the money on a taxi!!! Our driver even stopped for gas! Why is it ok to wait 30min on people who are late getting to shuttle? Transportation is what drives this low score.

The guides did an excellent job on informing us all about the Whale Sharks. He made sure each one of us had the opportunity to swim beside on. There were a lot of Whale Sharks do see. I struggled with my mask snorkel he helped me get back to the boat because water was rough. I changed to my dry snorkel and waited for my turn to go back in and he helped me get in position to swim along side the Whale Shark and got a great video of it . They provided sandwiches after and made Ceviche. We went to another place and the beach and water was beautiful. This was well worth the money . The water was rough and about 5 of us got sick but recovered quickly. AMAZING trip !!

We went on this tour on June 22 and to say the water was rough, is an understatement. We still managed to see 20-30 whale sharks and everything was very organized. But when the guide asks “are you a strong swimmer” and then gets mad at the swimmers when they almost drown he could use some classes in people skills. When the waves are (no kidding) 10’ you shouldn’t give people the option on whether or not they want to wear a life jacket. Because just because you are a good swimmer doesn’t mean you are a good swimmer in those kinds of conditions. One of the other people in the boat got on to him for his poor attitude and he turned it around. In spite of 5 of the 10 people on the boat getting violently sick and the rough water, we still had a great time. But I would look at changing your policy on optional life jackets when the water is that bad.

Thanks for your comments. YES some days are rougher than others. LIFE Jackets are MANDATORY unless you bring or rent a WetSuit. No one is EVER allowed to swim with just swimsuit.!!

Safety is our highest priority and we work to insure compliance. Swimming ability is subjective for sure. We'll certainly be sure we review all SAFETY Rules with your crew of that day!

Glad you enjoyed the Amazing day with our WhaleSharks!

Julian and Diego were experienced and professional. Best crew ever! 70-80 whale sharks out on the day we went. We got a little seasick but it wasn’t their fault. 1 hr trip out to the area, there were a few hungover guys on the boat with us so a few of us got to go in the water a few times with the sharks. The whale sharks were huge. Later on, the crew made ceviche that was amazing. We made good friends with the rest of the people on the boat, too.
