the zip line is fun, lasts about 45 minutes. you leave hotel and then take thirty minute ride to listen to sales pitch to pay $50-$60 a person for cheesy speed boat ride, segway tour or horseback riding. Are told it is two hours and most of time you are waiting around

staff at zip line are good. you get on first zip line and then go to seven stations. they sell it as 11 stations and when you get there they tell you 8, iti s really 6 or 7. bring your own camera and take own pictures. bring water and snacks..they provide none there. there is a spot for water on the back of your zipline harness. you can wear glasses while on there. they also provide locker for $3 and $5 deposit. located right across from moon palace.

Visited Xtreme Kingdom in Cancun with family back in June. Adults and teens/kids...ages 18, 16 and 10. We did the ziplining and loved it so much, we went back two days later to do it again. The staff is very informative and incredibly nice...joking and laughing, they really make it a good time. The second day we went back, we signed up for horseback riding, but because a large group was there, there weren't enough horses, so they offered us the ATV tour for the same price. There were 5 of us with the guide. He took us along dirt paths, through the jungle where hundreds of butterflies were flying overhead...really cool...and through water. In the end we were glad we got to do the ATV tour instead...it was well worth it. I would highly recommend Xtreme Kingdom.... on top of Ziplining, ATVs and horseback riding, they also offer Segway tours and a Jetboat ride that looked pretty amazing too.

This was the second zipline we did. We got the tickets from Palace resorts through a vacation club presentation. They have a contract with Xtreme Kingdom. They gave us 3 tickets valued at $80 each.

When we got there we were told that our daughter would not be allowed to participate because she did not weigh over 70 pounds. There was another family there who were told the same thing and they also had one person who was not allowed because he weighed over 250 poounds.

When Palace resorts booked this for us, we told them we had a small child and were not told of any restrictions. So after getting to Xtreme kingdom, one of us had to stay with our daughter while one did the activity. This completely wasted our time.

The zipline itself is only average. If you have done other good ziplines, you probably won't enjoy this one. The towers are over a lagoon. They take a very large group and rush you through. The entire tour takes 2 hours. They take about 60 people on zipline for 60 minutes or less, then if you want to do another activity they rush you off to do that the next 60 minutes then you are back on bus to hotel.

The ziplining itself is nice. Fun and you get to look around at the trees. But they seem to try their hardest to ruin the experience. First, they overhype the ride and expensive add-on side trips. By the time you actually get on the line you are almost disappointed.

You get to see the trees but the staff spends more time making bad jokes and upselling you on the other rides than telling you what you are seeing below. The jungle is nice to look at, but you spend the first part of the ride zipping over broken vehicles and brackish still water. I'm sure there is a wonderful variety of plant and animal life, but you might never know.

But the over-hype is the real disappointment. For example, they spend what seems like an hour hyping the upside-down zipline. But it is just one short segment, and you are not really even upside down -- you just put your legs up along the cord and lean backwards instead of sitting upright. They encourage you to dangle your arms down to make a nice illusion.

The worst part is after the ride, they practically push you into the bar to force you to buy drinks. I enjoyed the ride, but I had to almost forcefully bail out of the drinking part of the experience and leave. In some ways, leaving was the second best part of the experience.
