This is now called the Alligator Tour. Started promptly at 1PM. Not enough factual information given. The bell boy at my hotel could have told me more about Cancun and its history. Boat goes into the lagoon for about 20 minutes and you are given about 3 minutes of information... the rest is dead air. It is a bilingual tour, but too much time is spent talking in one language. For example, the guide would talk for 3 minutes in English. By the time he started in Spanish, we were long past the attraction. The tour stops at El Rey. The guides don't explain anything - you just wander aimlessly. There are about three placards that describe a few structures, but that is it. We paid $32 per adult and $29 per kid. Our kids are 7 & 4 and both fell asleep on the tour. Overall, the tour was disappointing...we expected more history about Cancun or some information on the Mayans. We ended up bailing at El Rey and took a local bus home instead of going back to La Isla (we were 2 hours into the tour at this point).
