Moon Palace is absolutely outstanding. The service is tremendous and the food is excellent. They truly seem to care about your experience. They are very attentive to your needs. This was our first all-inclusive experience, and we had a blast. The pools are beautiful, as is the environment. We are definitely hoping to return soon.

We visited Moon Palace October 23-30. We have been to Moon Palace several times, but this was our first stay in a golf villa. We really debated this as we love to see the ocean, and there is no ocean view when staying in these villas. We finally decided to give it a try, and we loved it. I do need to mention that the rooms are a little tired looking; but they are very spacious and a wall separates all of the bathroom area from the main room. This was particularly nice as my husband gets up to golf early and he can get ready without disturbing me. There is also a nice seating area with a sofa. This part of the resort is very quiet so if you are looking to be in the middle of everything, it is probably not for you. However, you have access to a golf cart during your stay so you can easily go anywhere within minutes. Also for those that like the walking, it is just not that far. We were in the building closest to the club house, and it took me 12 minutes to walk from the room to the Sunrise Lobby so, though it seems far, it really isn't. I feel this is the best of both worlds.
We ate at several restaurants; our favorites were both at the golf course. The lamb in the Italian was awesome, and everything at the Mexican was fabulous. Make sure and try the guacamole made right at the table. We were very happy to see the strolling violinist at the Italian. We love him as he makes the atmosphere wonderful. We also had wonderful meals at El Carabeno and the two restaurants under the palapas near the beach - Fragatta and Barracuda. The wine selections were great and are continually improving. We ate breakfast at the clubhouse a couple of mornings. It was great as you order off a menu, and it was nice and quiet. The buffets always have good food, but it was such a treat to have such a quiet relaxing start to the morning. The lunches there are also wonderful. I don't know the name of the manager of the clubhouse restaurants, but she is wonderful and does an awesome job.
We even felt that room service had improved. It came very quickly, and the food was nice and hot upon arrival.
It rained a lot while we were there so our lounging by the pool was limited, but the couple of days we did, we had great service and excellent burgers and pizza outside. We also feel we have a great new friend in Edgar Alfonso Guzman, the early shift bartender at the clubhouse. He is such an awesome person and is very attentive to all his customers. We will definitely visit him on our next trip.
Nizuc was not open when we were there so we look forward to seeing it when it does. We will definitely be back as Moon Palace just keeps getting better and better.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor, and it was great but I hear the views from the upper floor are a bit better.

We have been to a few resorts and Moon Palace is by far the greatest. The rooms are great with almost anything that you would need. The real highlight of this resort and almost any of the Palace Resorts is the staff. They are very attentive and eager to please. We will be going back soon.

This was our first trip to any of the Palace resorts and we, my wife and I, together with another couple, visited in October 2013, staying in the Grand section. Our apartment was well appointed with a 2 person jacuzzi, walk-in shower, his and her wash hand basins, bath robes and slippers, in addition to the hair drier and hair straighteners, safe deposit box, iron and ironing board, wall mounted plasma TV, and well stocked fridge which was replenished daily. The accomodation was clean and comfortable and the bonus was a large balcony with chairs and a padded double sunlounger. The food, in all of the restaurants we visited and that was all of them, including the golf club and Sunrise section, was awesome both in variety and quality. We breakfasted in the Grand section and were ably attended by a smiling and cheerful Luiz, Janet and the rest of the staff there. We spent most of the day at the Olympic pool near the restaurant and enjoyed the quiz set by Alejandro, did you know that a hinny can walk on quicksand but the male donkey would sink? I must also mention the bar waitresses Azucena, Sara and Claudia who kept us refreshed, especially with Chocolate Martini's !!!, and assisted in understanding the Mayan language. The evening entertainment was varied and 'entertaining' especially at the smaller pool adjacent to the Olyimpic pool where we enjoyed an excellent 'water ballet'. The flora and fauna to be found within the resort was both varied and exotic. It is the first time we've visited Mexico to be warned about crocodiles nesting in the swampy areas of the hotel, and this was our third (and best) holiday to Mexico. The highlight of the holiday was releasing 1 hour old turtles on the beach and sharing the life force of these little creatures as we held them before their dash to the sea. All in all we had a wonderful holiday.

We LOVE Moon Palace!!!!! Highlights: Swimming with the dolphins, the massage (OMG) and the trip to Chichen Itza! Wow! Amazing accomodations, too! Amazing food and drinks, soooo much of it! We especially LOVED Domingo Ruiz's service at the Cena Romantica at the Moon Grand! It was awesome! His attentiveness was awesome! The champagne and food kept flowing!!!! What a great time!

Room Tip: For families with older kids stay at the Sunrise, Families with babies stay at Nizuc and for older couples or just couples stay at Grand. Such a great resort!
