“Safe and professional parasailing”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

We were warned "you're on your own" regarding parasailing in Cancun. Our Lomas Travel concierge at the hotel made our reservations with the Parasail Center and we had a good experience. After checking in at the kiosk, we were directed to a small boat and taken from the dock out to the parasail boat in the open water. Two crew members and a photographer were on board. We felt the crew had safety in mind as they helped us into the harnesses and checked the lines. The ride lasted for about fifteen minutes...taking you fairly close to the Isla Majerus then back to the Cancun shore. We were surprised at how high we were...at least as high as a 12 story hotel. We bought the photography package of still pictures and video and were glad we did. The video is mounted right in front of you so you see yourself and whatever is in the background...either the sail, or the horizon on turns. The audio is not perfect, but fairly clear to watch what you say unless you can edit later! We thought both the pictures and the parasail were reasonably priced compared to what we've priced along the US gulf coast.

Def worth every penny. The team of people they have on the boat are very friendly and they def know their stuff. They watch the weather and make sure that they only take out people in perfect conditions. It was amazing being that high up and seeing Cancun from up above.

My first time parasailing and I loved it. What really shocked me was how high above the water you get. the view and the experience was well worth it. I might even go again.

“Fun in the air, poor pictures.”
Reviewed 10 May 2013

My wife and I parasailed with this company in May 2013. We've never parasailed before, but I have skydived. We've got sort of mixed feelings about this experience. Everyone (except maybe the guy driving the shuttle boat) was very nice and friendly, the experience was fun, the views once you're in the air are spectacular, the equipment seemed safe enough. So we're happy with all of that.
The couple of things we disliked are:
- Most of all, the photos and a video we opted to get for $35. The photos are pretty bad. There are 28 of them (the photographer had time to take a lot more, and not just in the air, like he did, but on the boat too.) Most of them are not in focus (blurry). Even the one where we're right in front of the camera landing on the boat is blurry, which should be really easy to get right unless you're using complete auto mode, which no photographer should do. The cropping on the photos sucks. We've got our limbs cut off in a few photos, i've got my head cut off in one... The video is better, taken with the GoPro cam attached to the rope in front of us. The sound in the video sucks, though, because the microphone mostly picked up all the noise frond the wind, and almost nothing of what we were saying. It's probably not directional, which is a shame.
- The guy on the shuttle boat taking us back to the shore basically shamed us into giving a tip, saying how hard everyone worked, etc., without even asking us if maybe we've already given a tip to the guys who did most of the work. He was pretty grim all the time too.

Also, for $100 it'd be nice to spend a little more time in the air. We were up there for about 10 min.

“Parasailing fom a boat”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

Loved it once we got up in the air. Beautiful view and oh, so quite. But getting to the boat was alittle rough on a jet ski with 4' waves, didn't like that part at all.
