I have wanted to swim with dolphins since being a little girl so we tool the opportunity to do it on our honeymoon in Cancun.
We really liked that the swim took place in the sea, rather than a cramped pool, as it feels a little kinder to the dolphins. Our dolphin was called Aisha and she was great! The trainer was very nice and we had a brilliant time. The swim lasted around 1.5 hours but there was a group of 12 to get through. I think we had the Royal swim, it included a foot push, a belly ride, a hold, a dance and a kiss. We all took turns to be the trainer the dolphin where we instructed it and fed it. As the instructor told us about he dolphin (how it sleeps/ where the ears are etc.) she walked up and down in front of us so we had plenty of chances to touch the dolphin.
The biggest problem with this is the photos, they tell you that you cant take your own cameras and then try to charge £50ish each for a disc of photos (that weren't even very good).
Overall, an amazing experience!

It's pricey but if you can get a deal on 3 activities for cheap by doing a timeshare presentation you can add swimming with the dolphins included all worth it. Pictures are about $30 each so be ready to pay $$$.

We chose dolphin discovery because the dolphins are in their natural environment as some other places the dolphins are in a pool, it was completely amazing!! The dolphins and their trainers had a brilliant relationship and we had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend paying a little extra to see the sea lion as the trainer Priscilla and the sea lion were absolutely fantastic and they really made our visit extra special

Stayed at Beach Palace Cancun and used the resort credit for a combo of Wet and WIld and swim with dolphins. It was a good time. My son cannot swim well so for the things that required him to swim out to deeper water they had a lifeguard go with him. Overall a fun experience.

One complaint...The pictures, they took some great pictures but they are so expensive. We decided to do a disc of just the kids we went through and picked all the picks of us then out of those picked the ones of the kids we wanted to add the disc. Once we had it all done and added them to the disc file the guy working there came and cleared it all out and started to re do everything we had just done. He went through so fast he was skipping most of the pictures we wanted. When we said something to him he ignored us. FInally we said just forget it if you can't listen we will keep out $150...and walked away. was Very disappointed. Some of the pictures were fantasitc and my daughters joy beamed through. This was a very disappointing experience.

We stayed at the Moon Palace and used our resort credit to do this. It was a great experience. It did seem a bit rushed and didn't have a magical feel, just ushered in, do the experience then go!
However, you cannot fault the experience. My youngest son was a bit nervous but thoroughly enjoyed it and got to the kiss, a dance and be pulled along by the dolphin. It did seem a bit routine though. Another group next to us were in the water far longer than us and it seemed they did a bit more with the dolphin but we still enjoyed it.
They sting you a bit with the photos. It cost $280 for pictures on CD and a photo book. You can't not purchase them!
