We've eaten at least 6 meals at Le Chef over our last 3 trips to Cozumel. At lunch and especially at dinner it's almost always full. A fair number of locals eat at this restaurant which speaks for it's reliably good food. From their wahoo dish to sashimi to lasagna to the lobster and bacon sandwich, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered! This last time we had the fried brie and loved it! The prices are very reasonable, the menu has a lot of variety of dishes, the service is good and we also enjoy sitting outside and watching the tourists and locals go by.

Excellent find. This was one of two of the best meals we had while in Cozumel. Off the beaten track as described by others. I will mention that seating outside was quite entertaining due to the traffic. Narrow one way street and of course a stop sign is just that, a sign. Doesn’t mean a whole lot. Excellent food, service and not speaking Spanish was not an issue. If we ever go back we will be sure to go there again!!

Get off the tourist track & try Le Chef. Small café with 5 tables inside and 4 on the sidewalk – gym across the street provides dinner entertainment. Diverse but select menu including Mexican (not Tex-Mex), Mediterranean-ish, Italian & seafood. Excellent flavors and thoughtful preparation. Limited but adequate wine selection. You will have better luck ordering if someone in your group speaks some Spanish as our waiters did not speak any English.

Started with the Bistro Salad which had Brie and prosciutto with greens tossed in a nice sundried tomato dressing. For the main course, I had fresh tuna that was encrusted in sesame and coconut then finished with a light peanut sauce. All excellently prepared

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to, not in Cozumel alone but in general.
The tuna carpaccio is amazing, and so is the salad special (with prosciutto, brie, pecans and other goodness).
We also had the espresso creme brule and olive tapenade (which were excellent), all for 500 pesos (drinks included)

We are definitely be coming back!
