It was a girls' trip, and we stayed for only 6 days, but was it heaven! We were very pleased with our accommodations, once we changed to an ocean front room. Such nice people there!! Some of the people there really stood out with spectacular service that made it a GREAT trip were: Carlos (concierge extraordinaire), Fransisco, Omar, Manuel (el Guapo), Yasmin, Jose (the gardener who left us fresh flowers on our patio every morning), Jorge ;), and Hilaria in the spa. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for a wonderful trip, we will be back!!

Room Tip: Get an ocean front room... Worth every penny in sunsets!!!

Absolute perfection, at a great price during the low season, this resort has it all at your fingertips. While dinner options are aplenty only an $8 cab ride away (at 1/3 the price), everything else is first rate, romantic, exquisite and thoughtful, down to the smallest and lightest touches. I mean the houskeeping staff even make daily towel statues on your bed each day, complete with floral touches (ie elephant, frog, heart). This will be my ONLY place to stay from now on when in Cozumel

Arrived by taxi from the ferry pier downtown and stayed five nights in an oceanfront room on the second floor (used IHG points). This resort wants to be a 5 star facility but the age and design of it doesn't really lend it to that. It needs some work. We could hear all the rooms around us and all the outside noise. The resort wasn't very busy but we had neighbours on all sides of us and the door had a large space on the bottom going outside which let a lot of bugs and noise in. The room and bathroom/shower area was on the small side. WiFi was very spotty all over the resort. The closer to the beach, the better the signal. They do the minibar fridge thing still which was annoying because we had to move all the overpriced stuff out of the fridge in order to keep our beer and drinks cool. Go to Mega or one of the other supermarkets and stock up before staying here if you want more choices and want to save tons of money. Do not expect to find any craft beer on this island. There are only the Mexican standards and the commercially produced import beers.

Be aware that this resort is somewhat isolated and you will be somewhat stuck dining at the restaurants/beach onsite unless you walk or take a taxi south to Small Bar (which we did one night) or north up to the cruise ship docks and city. And since it is isolated, I guess they figure they can overprice all the food and drinks here which we got tired of and went off-site to dine a few times. It is worth it to take a cheap taxi ride and go elsewhere. Other than that we spent most of the time in the water and on the beach. The swimming and diving is amazing here. Crystal clear water and lots of fish, etc to check out. The beach is large and there a number of different areas to lounge around or get in the water so it doesn't get boring. The pool water was too warm for us.

The bugs were plentiful when we were there in early June. Mosquitos would attack from all directions if we tried to sit on the balcony or go anywhere near vegetation. Keep this in mind if you decide to walk anywhere, but on my early morning runs I didn't have any problems. They did provide mosquito repellant in the room but it didn't seem to help much. They were also a bit annoying when we ate at the outside restaurant.

The service was good, not overbearing, and that helped keep the atmosphere relaxed. Housekeeping tries to come twice a day which is always excessive. Also, our stuff was moved around too much. They did give us plenty of bottled water.

One other note: The restaurant really shouldn't serve dinner bread with nuts in it, or at least warn people beforehand with the commonality of nut allergies these days.

OK, for full disclosure I have to state that we selected this property in order to use IHG Club points, and it was the only choice we had. That said, it was a very fine property. So many activities (scuba, snorkelng, waverunner, kayak, etc) without ever walking off the property. Snorkel right off the beach! Staff is nice, service good. Room was an ocean view, big, nice bathroom. The only downsides to this property were: distance from downtown (3 miles, you have to taxi, too far to walk), pool was too warm to be refreshing (but why would you get in a pool when the ocean is just as clear!), and the prices of food and drink. US $20.00 for a hamburger and fries and $7.00 for a Mexican beer at the beach bar! $35 for breakfast buffet! It was all good, but a little above market I think.

Room Tip: If you don't get an ocean view, don't bother...

We spent just one night but upgraded to a suite…expensive but worth it for our anniversary. The snorkeling was fantastic off the right side of the beach. Had a delicious Mexican breakfast in the restaurant.

Always relaxed; service oriented; Very good for us with a 9 year old. Great buffet although pricey. Scuba Du took care of our snorkeling trip. Our son had a wonderful pool diving lesson.... And shore snorkeling is always safe and excellent. This is our 3rd time here. Will come again.

I really truly love this hotel. 1st off, the beds are fantastic. That alone should make you stay here in Cozumel. Most hotels have "passable" or horrendous mattresses in Cozumel. This place, I sleep like a baby. 2nd, the snorkeling off the "beach" in the roped off area, amazing again. This honestly is our favorite off-beach snorkeling area on the island, and each year it seems like it's getting better and better (variety and uniqueness of fish). This is something unique that makes this hotel special. The food is very good; we usually eat the breakfast buffet every day (really enjoy the variety of the breakfast buffet), and then go into town for dinner. I have stayed in the beach access rooms (last year) and then on the 2nd level facing the beach this year. Both room are very nice, well appointed, with air conditioning, and those lovely beds. I found the evening mosquitos less ravenous on the 2nd floor patio vs the beach access patio (but if you are not a patio sitter, then this is a mute point). The showers are very adequate, always hot water and good pressure. We also used the workout facilities every day (~2 treadmills, 2 upright bikes, a stair climber and some weight machines and free weights). It can be a touch warm in the workout room, but other than that, no complaints. Always very clean. In general, the staff are nice, some very friendly (Omar is our favorite). We will continue to come again and again.

Room Tip: We have stayed in a beach front access room (in the 2-story building). We have also stayed on the 2...
