Owner description: Although not as popular as Chichén Itzá, these ancient Mayan ruins are noteworthy in their own right, as this is the site where Mayan women paid tribute to the goddess of love and fertility.

“Excellent Tour”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

We have visited San Gervasio Mayan Site several times. During our most recent visit, we decided to take a guided tour with Ivan as our guide. Not only was this our most educational visit, Ivan made it fun and entertaining. Our three sons remember seeing iguanas on the property. Seeing the iguanas again brought back good memories of earlier visits.

“Guided Tour”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Interesting site that was worth the drive off the beaten path. Ivan was an excellent tour guide, mixing history and culture with a splash of humor. Our small group could have skipped the guided tour and just walked along reading the posted information but spending the extra time and money was well worth it.

“A fun day”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

We took a 6 hour jeep tour of the Island. We snorkeled, toured the tequila factory and had a fantastic lunch, walked the ruins, and visited the lighthouse and Eco park. Poncho and Pacho were our tour guides and they were funny, informative and did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend, it was a great time. Money well spent.

“Mayan Ruins”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

No anywhere near the size of the ruins over on the mainland, but these are easy to get to, and way cool! Whether you go to Chichen Itza or not, if you are staying on Cozumel, this is a cool place to go, take pictures, etc.

“Good way to spend the afternoon.”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

This place is a little off of the beaten path as it is at least 6 miles north of the main road. You do pay an entry fee which is expected but as you enter there are several "guides" whiting to give you a narrated tour. For $8 what the heck. It was informative and a lot of ruins to see and if you feel adventurous and have a good pair of walking shoes there is a (5 mile) well traveled path to the ocean on the north side of the island that the ancient Mayans used to make their way to this spot.
