My family and I have been here before and always loved the view and atmosphere. This year was different as we did not feel welcomed or staff was not really caring much as to keep clients happy. It's low season for cozumel, this should not be an excuse to allow drunk kids slamming and fighting with each other because they are occupying 2 to 3 more rooms than a regular customer. The food quality has decreased since the last time I was here. I got calamari that looked like onion rings. Don't get me wrong it's got potential but like many of the reviews before me. This hotel needs to find its identity whether it wants to be a boutique or senor frogs.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are always open to listen to our guests comments to improve our service. We would like to apologize for the inconveniences you may have in your last stay at hotel B.

The intention of having day passes is to create a nice atmosphere at our beach where our guests could interact with and have fun. However, we totally understand your observations and we will make immediate adjustments so that our guests can relax and enjoy our beach area, the natural beauty and good service.

We would kindly ask to return in the future so that we can make it up for you and create that special experience that we try hard to offer to every guest.

Kind Regards

The hotel advertises "Just Be" ~ somehow I had the impression that this smaller (42 rooms) property would be quiet and relaxing. It was not. The concierge was wonderful, helpful and listened to our complaints, however, nothing was done about them.
The hotel offers "day passes" to cruise ship travelers, who literally "overtook" the entire patio and pool area daily. Music was loud and annoying techno. So unless you're looking for the Spring Break yahoo crowd, don't bother with Hotel B.
And since we don't drink tap water in Mexico, we were charged $3.00 per day for bottled water and expected to tip for obtaining it ourselves.
Crazy! Yes, there are "crocks" of water on each floor (look inside before you fill up!)
The beds were rock hard. Maid left 1 towel and no bathmat each day. However, we obtained both from the front desk when we asked. The food...? less than "so-so". The restaurant had ants daily. I tip at the end of stay based on courtesy and service. Obviously the wait staff had a problem with this.
Needless to say, we won't be back.

Room Tip: They charged us $20.00 per day online to "upgrade" to an ocean view room. Our friends wer...

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you for your time and feedback. Listening to our guests is the most important vehicle to improve and make the relevant adjustments in our operations. We are sorry that we cannot meet your expectations
The intention of having day passes is to create a nice atmosphere at our beach where our guests could interact with and have fun. However, we totally understand your observations and we will make immediate adjustments so that our guests can relax and enjoy our beach area, the natural beauty and good service, in other hand. Allow me to mention that we are already changed the vast majority of our mattresses in the Hotel in order to keep offering the best service.
We would like to apologize for the inconveniences caused and would kindly ask to return in the future so that we can make it up for you and create that special experience that we try hard to offer to every guest.

Hardest beds we have found in over a hundred hotels round the world. We woke up stiff every morning
And so did son and wife next door. Shame as view over infinity pool from full room patio door is great.
Room good sized and air con works but they were unable like us to alter full aircon - which made cold air over bed too chilly in middle of night. Not central air but individual unit through the wall. Room good sized and bathroom ok. Liked the fabric and string covers over the shampoo and shower gel.
Staff. Service very haphazard. Breakfast from 7 am but one morning a couple had to leave early and no service until 7.15 then they had to leave after 20 mins when only fresh fruit had been served - that course was excellent with mango melon and watermelon .
Food generally good but expensive and a restricted menu and it seemed they only had one chef as it was always a long wait and often out of 4 of us only 2 were served with the others waiting for a while.
happy hour half price was also only on beer and cocktails.
They also let people from outside in which made pool crowded and noisy in the afternoons and evenings.
It calls itself a boutique hotel but really only a three star.
Pity as the pool is good , no beach but a sanded portion of the patio and the snorkelling off the rocks was good.
So much was good, a pity they have not sorted the service.

Let me start by saying that I like to stay at different hotels when I go to Cozumel. I am not fussy, but the employees here just do not care. I was travelling solo, and called in advance to make sure there were no reservation issues. The grounds are nice, but the pool and hot tub were not clean. Of course I was there for the ocean. But as I arrived at dusk, did not want to get in the ocean, The bathroom was clean, nice tile work. No refrigerator as I requested, problems with the safe. The bed was hard. The balcony is the positive. The people below me were smoking non stop and playing music on the deck. I was not able to have my sliding door open to enjoy the ocean breeze. The air conditioning did not work, no fan, so not a restful night. At 1 am I went to the front deck,( they never answered the phone,) to request the room below me quiet down. They finally stopped at 3 am. The second night was just like the first. The breakfast was okay, the drinks were really watered down, $8 for a margarita.. The management just did not care! I would not recommend this hotel. Cut my stay short, would not recommend.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.

We visited Hotel B on our honeymoon and it gave is exactly what we needed. Mellow, easy, relaxing, still fun.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. They remembered our names, always had a smile on, and would greet you every time you ran into them in the hallway. It felt like coming downstairs to your own living room each morning.

The guys at the front desk could help you get transport and reservations anywhere you needed to go.

We snorkeled multiple times a day right off the dock outside. For the amateur, it is a great experience; clear water, tons of fish and a rock wall to explore.

Rooms were nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. And they provide all the filtered water you can drink, which is awesome in Mexico.

They have a great "romantic dinner on the sea" option that was reasonably priced and super cool for a sunset meal on a honeymoon.

During the day it is a pool club that has people pay an entrance fee to hang for the day. Made for a cool environment, but get downstairs early if you want to pick your seat.

Food and drinks are a bit pricey for Mexico expectations, but not outrageous. Great ceviche options.

There aren't any restaurants or shops within a 25 minute walk, but its a five minute and 60 peso cab ride downtown that is super easy. Its nice to be away from that downtown zone until you want to go there.

2 for 1 happy hour was legit just before sunset. Perfect to get a couple cold ones in hand in time to watch the sun hit the sea.

They offered yoga in the mornings on the deck overlooking the sea. Great experience and great way to start the day.

If you are looking for a great spot that isn't a big resort, this is it.

Do it.

We loved it! It was the perfect spot at the end of a 2-week trip on the Yucatan. Unfortunatly we could only stay for 4 nights.
Rooms are very spacious and comfy with amazing ocean and pool views. The grounds and pool are kept very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. We also booked an introductory scuba diving course and a snorkeling tour with the dive shop.
Breakfast was included in our rate which was good. Dinner was excellent as well but more expensive then the Mexican average. Hotel also offers free wifi.

I can understand that it might not be for every as it´s not the typical resort /all inclusive experience, but if you´re looking for something a bit more modern, laid-back, boutique style hotel, this is it.
Would love to go back immediately!
