This was our second visit to Iberostar and we loved it there. The resort is like an exotic garden, with iguanas and peacocks wandering around.

The staff in the hotel is really courteous and professional. Rooms are spacious enough and are cleaned daily.

Restaurant food was very good. Dinners had different themes daily. One day was Italian, another Japanese. When it comes to dinners that you need reservation I would say it was ok. Overall I would rather eat in general dining areas as it offered more variety of food and it was better.

One thing is that you need to pay for Wi-Fi. It is kind of slow. But then again you are on vacation:)

Overall we loved staying in Iberostar and we will be coming back.

We are frequent visitors to this hotel, and after having experienced a few bumps over the past year or two (specifically regarding the food), we're just wrapping up a one-week stay as I write this and want to report that the food is back to being at its BEST. The hotel has a new chef - BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. As always, hotel staff in general are friendly, attentive and make sure our stay is pleasant and hassle-free. They truly go above and beyond, and special thanks to Axel, Sara and Miguel for making sure we feel as though we were coming home every time we visit. We urge numerous friends to visit Iberostar Cozumel and will continue to do so! With Dressel Divers, they are the best on the island bar none!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are fine.

We stayed at this resort several year's ago. We had never stayed on Cozumel island before, but had stayed on the mainland several times. This resort is an older resort, so buildings arn't as luxurious as other's where we have stayed. But, because it is older, the trees, & plants are larger and more beautiful. Gorgeous! We enjoyed the beach, nice, and great entertainment staff at the pool. The entertainment is very well put together. Plays, instead of just music. We were very disappointed that the main buffet was so far from the beach, & was so hot, too hot to eat at noon, except fruit. And a walk from the pool & beach. We snorkeled at a park nearby, & there were many yellow stripped fish near the rocky beach, we bought an underwater camera there,& have nice pictures,I recommend this. You can buy food to feed them, but beware, they will swarm you! Ha! I recommend this resort to scuba divers. We really prefer the mainland resorts, & their proximity to so many day excursions. Hope this helps you decide if it's right for you.

Just got back from staying at this hotel for a week. We have 11 people, 6 adults and 5 children aging from 12-15. The star friends were a hit with the kids, they kept them busy during the day. We already miss our star friends we met, especially Erica, Daniel, Patricia, Guillemore, Carlos and Jose. Pool bar was great also, plenty of drinks and they are able to make anything you want. We will definitely be back!!

Let me start by saying that the reviews are 93% accurate on this place, I did not expect to be amazed. However by the last day I was dreading going back home (we had an amazing time).

My friend and I stayed from August 18, 2014 to August 22, 2014

The beach at Iberostar is very rocky & even with water shoes it really sucked. The good thing is you can swim by the pier. We are not divers, but we did go snorkeling in la playa de Punta Sur. That beach is definetly worth going to & our tour guide was amazing.

The food at the resort was okay,by day 2 you will definetly know what foods to eat & what to avoid. We stayed 5 days and were only able to reserve dinner at the Mexican Rest, which was okay.I suggest you book when you first arrive. You will get tired of eating the same meals over & over again.I suggest you go to Albertos next door or the Bob Marley Resturant by la playa de Punta Sur, when you want something different.

Our rooms were always cleaned & beverages replaced daily. Thank you Elena for cleaning our room, replacing our towels & even folding my clothes, tell her that the guest from room 2214 were very pleased & very appreciative of her hard work!

I did see workers cleaning the pool morning & some nights, but they did have a lot of dead bees & moths in the pool :( The drinks were watered down of course, the best drinks were made in the lobby, even the coffee was good!

the rescused cats on the resort were not overwhelming and they were well behaved. The iguanas, peacocks, and flamingos throughout the resort were breathtaking to see. Definetly a family friendly resort.

I do suggest taking part in the water aerobics with Alex, he was super funny and animated the whole time! I never realized what a work out that could be! Tell him Noemi says Hi! Thank you Danny for getting us involved in water volleyball with the other guests, we had a blast!

The star entertainers were all super friendly & super cheery and friendly sun up to sundown! I don't know how they kept it up, but thank you Guillermo, Alex, Danny, Fernando & all the starfriends who made our stay worth while!

Listening to the two live lead singers at the night shows was torture! The two lead singers need energy & they sing in that same boring voice nite after nite. He can't sing & you can't hear what he's saying! The dancers were amazing to watch, they danced with so much passion & you could tell they put alot of time & effort into what they did.

This place was very relaxing, great little get away!The staff & everyone on that resort was super friendly & very accomadating! If you stay here and are not a driver, then i suggest you participate in the activities throughout the day, they are fun & it will help you enjoy your stay to the full extent! The first aid center was a joke, they did not have anything. The live DJ at nite sucked, he did not have any good/current music. There is no party scene in Cozumel, so be ready to make the best of it. All in All this was a relaxing vacation & i would definetly book with Iberostar again!

Room Tip: stay on higher level to enjoy the view, we stayed in room 2214 & the morning views were amazing.
