A great place to spend a day. Snorkelling walking around the park was nice. Lots of fish while Snorkelling. The kids liked having beads put in their hair by the locals

“Fun Beach and snorkel area”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

We have been twice. It is a fun place to lay on the beach under a palapa. You can order a bucket of beers and nachos. Snorkeling is okay but a lot of the stuff is too deep to swim down too and see. It is good for people that are new to snorkeling. We saw parrot fish, trumpet fish and a variety of colorful other fish.
Our daughter swam with the dolphins and said it was awesome. The pictures were expensive.

“Zipline adventure...So much fun!!!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Inside of the beautiful Chankanaab Park is Xtrem Adventure. I had looked into doing a zipline in other areas near Playa del Carmen and in Cozumel, but decided to go with Xtrem because of its location. I had been to Chankanaab before, and was excited to see it from a bird's eye view. I was SO glad I did. The lines go directly over the lagoon and the crocodiles!!! It was the most beautiful view in Cozumel. And while the view and surrounding were fantastic, the staff was outstanding as well. My guide, Cristal, was very experienced and friendly throughout the tour. I can't wait to come back next year! Hopefully next year I can convince my husband to do it with me (he is afraid of heights!)This tour was an experience of a lifetime for me.

“MUST SEE IN COZUMEL”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

We've been to Chankanaab Park a number of times. They keep improving the facilities and attractions here. New this year was a sea lion show and a Mayan Village, both very nice and included with admission. They also added for a fee a zip line and those big balls you can climb inside and run around in like a hamster (we didn't try either of these new options). They also have swim with the dolphin programs available as well. As always, the snorkeling and diving was awesome, the beach was clean, and the service was excellent. We went to booth #3 El Clavado for our diving. Usually we see Favio there, but he was busy so Carlos took care of us this time and was very good as well. There were quite a few more people than previous visits, most coming on snorkeling tours through the ship, but once they were done they were back on their way and the beach was quiet again. The beach is nice and has chairs, loungers, and thatch roof umbrellas for some shade. Entry into the water is fairly easy with some steps and railings, though some are pretty steep/uneven. Taxi from the port to the park was $11 US each way total for our family of 3 in a shared van. Don't forget to download a coupon from their website before you go to save a few dollars off the @$20 admission charge.
