“Junker jeeps, skip the Mayan ruins, snorkeling, food and beach were great.”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

The tour started off really shady. We booked through Cozumel-Tours and received an email confirmation with directions from our port including instructions we had to pay an additional $20 per person for the ruins. This was a shock because it was said it was an all inclusive when we booked it. After following the directions to meet there was no sign of Pantera jeeps from the cruise terminal. I had to call the tour company and we were told they would be there in 2 minutes; I think they forgot about us. Some random guy walked up to us and told us to come with him and he would take us to our tour guide. I was extremely skeptical because this guy had nothing proving he was with Pantera jeeps. The only reason we went with him is because he knew my name. We got in a really beat up jeep and went to a sandbar restaurant where we met up with Pancho, our tour guide. He was a nice guy and the tour went much better. The snorkeling was great but the Mayan ruins could have been left off the tour altogether. Lunch at the tequila
tour was great and the beach was wonderful but our tour got cut short because we ran out of time and had to get back to our ship. I probably will not book through this company again due to the rough start and the additional $80 we had to spend.

“Well run and Good value”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

We took this trip as purchased via Carnival cruise line tour. The trip was to mock village and tequilla tasting, we then drove in procession around Cozumel to the north of the island. this was really good value fora ship organised tour (while on Carnival sunshine)

“Not well run”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 via mobile

Seemed like it would be a fun tour.

We went to where we were told to meet but there was no one there in a jeep marked Pantera. We finally called and they said they would be there in a few minutes. After 10 minutes someone walked over and said that we were at the "new" welcome center, not the right one. We walked to the gas station where he had the jeep parked. The front window was broken and the rear view mirror was missing. We went a mile or so to meet the others at the beach where we would be snorkeling. This took a long time to get going. They did not seem to have enough gear. We finally got in the water. There is not much to see here - a few fish and some artificial reefs. We then got back in the jeeps (one group did not even have a jeep to get into) and went to the myan ruins. This was ok. We had to pay $20 each for this, which was listed one the website, but when we got to the site my son seemed to be young enough to not have to pay (they did not tell us this but kept the money anyway). After the ruins we drove to the tequila factory tour. We had done this before so we stayed at the restaurant and had a drink (the tour guides seemed a bit bothered that we did not go see the tequila tour part). The food was good. We were then told that we would have to go back early because the rest of the trip would take too long and not get us back to the ship on time. It seemed that the website said we would have plenty of time. So we did not see the lighthouse or the alligators.

Not well run. Broken down equipment. Slow. Choose someone else to do this tour with.

“Fantastic way to see the island!”
Reviewed 22 March 2014 via mobile

We took this tour on my 30 th birthday and it was one to remember for sure! We were paired up with a fun couple from the hotel next to ours. Enjoyed snorkelling for the first time, a great lunch, an informative trip through the San Gervasio ruins, a seriously spirited and fun tequila tour, swimming at THE most incredible beach and a very cool view at the end of the day from a lighthouse. Hands down, this was the neatest excursion we booked during our stay in Cozumel.
