We stayed at the Casa Mexicana from February 21st through the 28th. This was our second stay (we stayed there in February 2010). We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room, which is spacious with a spacious veranda. Two items that stand out is the cleanliness of the hotel (it is spotless) and the included breakfast buffet (Jimy and Jaime provide wonderful and attentive service) which must be the best in Cozumel. The hotel is located close to the downtown restaurants and dive shops. I dove with Aqua Safari this trip and Aldora last year. We enjoyed eating at LaMission, Las Palmeras, Guidos, and Pancho's Backyard.

Keep in mind that this is a hotel and not a resort. The swimming pool is intended for cooling off and not really for swimming. A taxi is required to get to the beaches. However, if you want to be downtown, close to dive shops, shopping and restaurants, this is the place to stay. We will definitely stay at the Casa Mexicana again.

We stayed at the Casa Mexicana for two and a half weeks in Feb 2011 and had a wonderful experience. We got a GREAT price on cheaptickets.com. We stayed in an oceanview room and I would recommend spending the extra $ as the view is spectacular! The hotel is SPOTLESS!!! There are staff cleaning all day long. We have travelled to the to hot destinations for the past 11 years and this is the most comfortable bed we have had and we have stayed at some high end resorts. We decided to move away from a resort vacation and try a hotel as we wanted to extend our stay by a few days. This is not the fanciest hotel in Mexico, but there is NOTHING wrong with it, particularly for the price. The breakfast is excellent; just like a resort. The internet services are free and the tap water is sanitized and your are able to drink it! There is a fridge in the room and the maid service is fast to clean the room when you hang your sign requesting for maid service. The staff are VERY friendly and accommodating. Alberto is so nice and will advise you on a variety of services. We had no problem with check-in or anything! As everyone says, this is not a beachfront property, so you have to go to the beach, but it is very easy if you rent a car. The pool is very small but cools you off from the hot sun. The pool chairs are very comfortable and there is lots to look at as the pool area overlooks downtown Cozumel. The location is perfect as you are in the middle of downtown Cozumel and can walk everywhere. We had no problem finding wonderful restaurants(La Mission is amazing). We would certainly return. Thank you to Jaime and Juan for being so professional and kind. We have no complaints about this well-run hotel.

Really clean. Good size rooms and beds. Excellent variety of fresh food at breakfast. Nice pool and sun terrace. Central atrium means noise rises up and can wake you up in the morning. Lots of people that stay here dive (as we did) and will be up early but if you don't, the breakfast noise from the atrium means you don't really get to sleep in. It is worth paying for an ocean view for the balcony. We got a better rate by booking the hotel through a dive shop. If you can explain to me how the pool towel system works, I'd love to know!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mexicana. Room was very nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Saying that this hotel is clean is almost an understatement. They are constantly cleaning. We even started joking about how often they mopped the floors in the common areas. The staff is so friendly and helpful. When we arrived it was raining and the bell boy noticed our floor was wet by the sliding door. He had someone immediately come up and dry our floor. I would definitely stay at Casa Mexicana again.
