“The BEST meal in Cozumel”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

This was absolutely the best meal we had while in Cozumel. It is a great little hole in the wall that is only a block or two off the main path and well worth the walk. It's simple food but delicious.

I stayed with my father and brother and a couple of nights during the week we decided to go out and eat the real local food. I searched through TripAdvisor and based on the reviews, we went to Casa Mission because of its high reviews. I was very unimpressed with the food and don't think it is that good at all.

The next day we stumbled upon the Tako Rock at lunchtime and it was delicious. We went back in November '11 so I no longer remember what we ate, but all three meals were delicious. If you are looking for excellent food and excellent service, try this little hole in the wall, real food, restaurant. Actually, it was our Thanksgiving day lunch. It lived up to the day.

“Tako Rock...rocks!”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

No big neon signs, billboards or flyers, just a little hanging sign and really awesome typical food. Deffinately a local's place with a wide selection of food on the menu. Try the pastor meat dishes (shaved pork). Super huge portions and reasonable prices. Dress in lightweight clothes, no AC. Owner is awesome and speaks good english.

“Breakfast”
Reviewed 11 March 2012

We stopped in to have breakfast one morning not being able to speak Spanish and the waiter not speaking English made us wondering what it was that we were going to get for breakfast.
I had asked for a ham and cheese omelet but a cheese omelet instead no big deal it was good regardless and the wife asked for bacon but got back bacon (we think) instead. The coffee was the Cinnamon style and not really a thing that I like.
Regardless the meal was good to eat and it was better then paying $20 for the same meal up on the main street. The place has plastic chairs and no air, ceiling fans did nothing for us but it was fun.

“Authentic Mexican food”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

Phenomenal food and cheap. Atmosphere is underwhelming ...no bells and whistles. Came here for breakfast and was blown away by the taste! Coffee is good too.

“These takos ROCK!”
Reviewed 29 February 2012

This is a definite must eat in Cozumel! We loved everything we had here. We stopped in 3 times during our week scuba vacation. The staff is very friendly and the food is unique and delicious. It's not a fancy establishment but it is clean and extremely well priced (dinner for two was under $20-$25 dollars with drinks). This is by far one of the tastiest restaurants we have eaten at in Cozumel. Order the main dishes with the six soft tortillas covered in various meats and veggies...we tried 3 different kinds and they were all amazing! Go, you won't be disappointed by the food.
