All the great reviews you see on this place are accurate. Not too much more to add...Super convenient location right in town and close to everything - dive shops, the square, restaurants, piers. It's close to the airport, but we found it too far to reasonably walk so took a cab. However, we were comfortably able to walk with our suitcases to the ferry pier to leave for Playa del Carmen. Very cute, spotlessly clean, reliable air conditioning, hot water, safe, and quiet. The beds were comfortable and pillows were great (we're pillow people and often have difficulty with all the places that have really bad pillows). Staff/owners were incredibly helpful and friendly; they're great hosts and you feel like they could be old friends. We didn't care about beachfront/pool on the premises as we were diving all day. However, on one of our days off we were able to taxi down the shore to Blue Angel (another hotel owned by the same people who own Villas Las Anclas) and relax in the shade at their beachfront location. We will plan to stay here again on our next dive trip and recommend anyone else with similar plans to do the same. You will not be disappointed and you cannot beat the service/value for the money!

Of course I came back to this wonderful place that is like home...
All the details they have! The best accomodations, beautifly clean, even a chocolate treat at night on my bed! It is a boutique hotel for a very fare price.
And the most friendly and helpful Jordi, always there to give you anything you need, he is an expert when it comes to service.
Once again, an outstanding vacation.
Don't think of any other place to stay, you will thank me for my advice!

Well four years here out of five, Cozumel and Villas Las Anclas must be something special mustn't they. Take a look at the website and tell me you wouldn't want to vacation here. No taxis required, it's central for shopping and restaurants but just a block and a half from the Square there is no night time noise. This is a small hotel with just seven spacious two level rooms based around the luxuriantly planted courtyard. The kitchen is just sufficient but no right minded women is going to stay in and prepare meals on vacation anyway. No pool, no frills but a brilliant base and now managed by Jordi the hotel is as good as ever. Yes we are booking to come again next year and so should you.
If you don't think this one is for you then still give Cozumel a try for a little laid back Mexico. If you are a diver then at any level Cozumel is pretty close to heaven of course. Enjoy.

Room Tip: central but quiet location and easy to relax

Villas Las Anclas was the ideal "home" to return to after days spent in the sun and waves. The courtyard proved a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine and the rooms were spacious, clean, and architecturally of note. Jordi and Eliana were perfect hosts with great recommendations and genuine warmth. Villas Las Anclas is in close proximity to the fantastic Cozumel Coffee for a morning cafe and also Sabores for a homemade lunch. This was the ideal villa for vacation; close to everything, but calm and quiet.

Our family rented two suites for five of us (ranging in age from 17 to 81) and we had a great week long stay. Jordie (the on-site manager) was really helpful and was happy to arrange for extra beds in both suites to accommodate us. We really loved the outside courtyard and truly enjoyed meeting other guests. The hotel is quiet (only seven suites) and the owner/manager lives on site in an adjoining apartment . Jordie knew when we were arriving and was there to meet us with keys, lots of info about Cozumel, and helpful suggestions about renting cars, where to eat, etc. The suites were really clean, and linens were changed, dishes washed, floors mopped, and the bathroom was spotlessly cleaned everyday (with the exception of Sunday). The kitchenette is limited to a small fridge, sink, microwave and a coffee maker, so don't expect to be able to do much cooking, but we found it adequate for preparing light meals (dinnerware and cutlery are supplied). There is also a BBQ in the courtyard that is ready and available for use. An earlier review mentioned that the stairs to the second level were challenging, but none of us had any trouble, including my 81 year old father. The pictures may look daunting, but it turns out that the stairs are well-designed and easy to navigate. Overall, we loved the location (only a block away from the waterfront, taxis, town square, etc.), the suites were great, and Jordie was really helpful.

After seven nights in a boutique hotel in Playa, our arrival at Villas Las Anclas for four nights was like arriving at an oasis. The rooms were beautiful, clean and roomy. Jordi was the consummate host; very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you Jordi.
