What a nice cozy place to stay and within walking distance of some great taquerias, a bank that doesn't rip you off, a grocery store (mega) and other local restaurants (LE chef is awesome)

Thanks for a wonderful stay. Andrea and I will be back.

We had such a great welcome by Silvia, Greg and little Rosa. Loved the room and the private patio/veranda space. It was so conveniently located for exploring the island and easy to access. We rented a car and went to the beaches, downtown, snorkeling, and local shopping. Met wonderful people staying in the adjacent room, but it was so private we could have never even known anyone else was there. Really appreciated the morning breakfast and coffee! We would definitely stay here again.

We just left the wonderful island of Cozumel on Monday and are already thinking of a return. Silvia, Greg and Rosa are wonderful hosts! The room is spacious, airy, clean and inviting. The daily breakfast was substantial with a good serving of fresh fruit and large portion of muffin/bread. The pool was large enough for a refreshing dip after a day of shopping/exploring. The location was close enough to walk to the main streets and active square but out enough so parking the car was never a problem. The local people always had a friendly smile and willing to work with our limited (more like no) spanish. Silvia and Greg are helpful and friendly but never intusive. Overall a great place with Great people. Thank you to Silvia and Greg for assisting in an A+ vacation. (Lisa and Dan)

Los Alcatraces is a gem in a sea of places to stay. Part of the community, good location, they offer a covered patio and enclosed courtyard including Palm trees in small garden area, plus sun space by a small pool. We liked to explore out in the morning and come back there during the after lunch mid day heat, cool by the pool with a refreshing beverage. They have a spacious room with small refrigerator, tons of storage and closet space, nice walk in shower and big bathroom, plus vanity. Right outside your door, at almost whatever time you want breakfast, exactly at the time (you can set your watch), hot coffee, a great plate of fruit, glass of juice, and very fresh pastry, is delivered to your patio table. The morning sun was soft, birds were about, very nice. The place is well maintained, tile floors, tiled bath and vanity, spotless and clean, rooms were quiet, bed comfortable, has FS TV, AC, and ceiling fan. Modest elegance. The place is very secure, the owners are very nice, their dog Blanco is very nice, and we thought it to be a good value. Children are not allowed. If I were to go back to Cozumel I would book my stay with them.

Room Tip: you will be happy with whatever you get

The walk to the centre of town is only about 15 minutes. This is a great thing as you are just the right distance from the bustle of down town. The room is quiet, clean and and just the right size. Even very late at night walking back to the room in the dim lights of street lights we felt safe. Silvia and Greg are great hosts and most helpful. You will fall in love with Rosa the dog. She loves to sit at your feet, loves to be pet and if you leave the door open she will come for a visit, roll over and expect you to rub her tummy. The bet swimming is at the public beaches on the opposite side of the island. You may want to rent a car for a couple days but for the cost of a car rental, $35.00 US p/day, well you decide. Excellent place to stay.

You don't need to check out anywhere else. Clean, comfortable, and good food. Greg and Silvia are excellent, helpful hosts, and the suite is a perfect home base to explore the city and island from. When we travel to Cozumel next, we won't even bother looking anywhere else.

This was my second time back to Cozumel. I enjoyed my stay at Los Alcatraces and will vacation there again. Wonderful, helpful owners, simple yet perfect breakfasts, close location to everything. The back court yard area is very peaceful and tropical....complete with pool and chairs and a clothes line...plus their pet turtle Timothy.

Room Tip: Both rooms are nice...........
