“Beautiful but windy in January”
Reviewed 12 August 2014 via mobile

I went to Cozumel on a cruise and we stopped at Punta Morena after going to the mayan ruins. It was January 2013. The beach is beautiful, the water is clear and the restaurant is also good with a reasonable price. I had fish tacos. The beans and rice were yummy. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to enjoy the wonderful landscape.

“Cool spot to stop at on the east side of the island”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We've been here a couple times now, usually on a pub crawl. Drinks are on par with everyplace else on this side of the island. I had some octopus and it was good, not great. The venue is the star here, nice beach with some protected water you can actually get into. Nice pool, very relaxing.

“Gorgeous View, Good Food”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Four of us stopped here on a tour of the east side of the island. It's a lovely spot -- fully powered by wind and solar power, since there's no electricity on that area of the island. It's large, airy, modern but still islandy, clean bathrooms, good food (a bit pricey, but still worth it). Lots to do outside for those who might want to spend the day, including wonderful looking pools.

We had a habanero sauce with our meal that will definitely clear your sinuses. Very good!

“Lots of fun!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We got some drinks here and rented surfboards from Machito. There was a four-piece band playing for tips, and they made the place really fun. The beach here is awesome! Lots of good stuff in the gift shop, too.

“A pleasant surprise.”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We were brought to Punta Morena as a part of a guided tour we were on. There were eight of us in the group-three with food allergies. That proved to not be a problem. They prepared a dish that the three of us with allergies could eat and it turned out to be wonderfully delicious. The rest of our party tried various other items off of the menu and they all raved as well. We were serenaded by a fantastic trio that made the meal all the more memorable. We also had an opportunity to take pictures with a huge iguana and an equally large parrot! I will undoubtedly trek to Punta Morena if I ever make it back to Cozumel.
