“Mango Cafe is a must”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 via mobile

Great little restaurant. Lots of character. We had breakfast and the food was fantastic. One of the best hollandaise sauces I've ever had. It's outside of the north section of the island, and the touristy Hildago Street restaurants. Cafe Mango is a must...

“Deceiving”
Reviewed 7 January 2014 via mobile

We've read a lot about Mango and maybe that is part of the reason we were so disappointed...
Breakfast choice is simple and looks American + banana purée... Not a great combination..
If you have the 25 MXD coffee, be prepare to drink a cinnamon infused coffee.
The prices are high and the cafe is located outside walking range from downtown Isla Mujeres. So you can add the taxi ride to your cost...
Definitely not worth de detour.
We will not go back.
P.S. The place is crowded of homesick tourists.

“Will not disappoint!!”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

Mango Cafe is a small, busy place, good food, decent service. The owner Polo is a nice guy with a great command of English, the food is consistent and tasty. Try the empanadas or the chicken taco, you will not be disappointed.

“Same As Always - The Best!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

It's always a pleasure to return to Mangos for what is now our 5th year (we first had breakfast there shortly after they opened). Each year we return and each year it's like we never left the table from the year before! The restaurant is small - seats about 25 people at a time - and it's best to get there by 9am or you will end up waiting a bit… The menu has a mexican flair to it, and the food is beautifully prepared and served by the sweetest, kindest wait staff. The owner takes great pride in quality of the food and service and we've gotten to know him over the years - good restaurants are a labor of love and this guy is the real deal. The breakfast is consistently delicious (through I am stuck on their coconut french toast) I've had pretty much everything on the menu and it's all superb - fresh ingredients creatively used and reasonably priced - breakfast for 2 will cost a mere $20. Heaven cheap served on a plate :) If consistency counts, Mango's ranks at the very top!

“Best lunch at the Island”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 via mobile

After a round trip on the Isla Mujeres we stopped for lunch at Mango Cafe.

Cozy place with the best burrito I ever tasted!! Great service from Polo, our Waitress.

A must-eat place when you visit Isla Mujeres.
