“Great value and friendly staff”
Reviewed 17 December 2013

This was a wonderful surprise on our recent trip to Isla. We purchased our room via Groupon and stayed on the 4th floor with a bay view. The view was simply stunning. Each night the sunset was laid out over the mainland and I don't think there was a better place on the island to see it. All of the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Adeymar spoke nearly flawless English and was always helpful with questions we had. The facilities were very well maintained and modern. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Room Tip: Bay view rooms have amazing views. Get one if you can!

This was our third trip to Isla but first time at Bahia. (previously stayed at Avalon and Maria del Mar). This hotel is like brand new. Clean, modern, no bugs, quiet. View from ocean front balcony is wonderful with sunsets front and center. It's also fun to watch the ferry's come and go. Yes I agree the street traffic noise you can hear when on balcony but not when the doors are closed and we were sleeping. It's great for walking everywhere-about 10 minute walk to beach or you can hop in cab for 20pesos. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful but yes, Spanish is their first language so you need to ask questions, be polite and tipping helps too!! We had great service. Free 'cold' breakfast items, coffee, tea juice, fruit. Ice bucket with ice can be refilled at the bar for free. Rooms have fridges. Adeymar and Luis got us a golf cart delivered to the hotel and arranged for a private drive around the island when we had friends visit. Wifi worked great and no issues with the bathrooms. The weather and beach is so much better than Cancun as well as the restaurants and shopping is so cheap but still with high quality. I would highly recommend Isla and Bahia Chac chi. Will definitely stay here again next year.

The gf and I are on our third trip to Isla and have stayed at BCC each time. It continues to provide excellent service for the price.

That said, if you're looking for all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere! Bcc provides a simple, unassuming place to stay, and does it quite well.

The good-sized rooms are simple and clean, with in-room safes, cable tv and WiFi (but don't expect "urban North American speeds" anywhere on the island, btw). The bathrooms are nicely laid out, with showers big enough for two (wink, nudge).Two-thirds of the rooms face the pool, rest face the street/ocean. No idea as to the price difference, but we take the ocean view and love it.

Service has always been polite, friendly and very patient with my fractured Spanish. (Full marks especially to Aydelmar for his translation help over the years). On our last trip, we checked in only to find that the a/c wasn't working. Staff tried to repair, and when that didn't work, we had an immediate room change!

The smallish pool at first seems out of place, but is in fact a great spot to relax in the shade/breeze after frying yourself silly on the beach...

A basic continental-ish breakfast is included, and the coffee is amazing. Hotel is on the West side of the island, a very short walk from the ferry dock, and within easy walking distance of the Centro area Taxis, golf carts, scooters are readily available.

In short: we love it, and we'll be back.

This hotel was in a perfect location, close to town , beach and cruise doc, but just far enough to be away from the hustle! The rooms were clean and good beds and the bathroom really fantastic too. The pool is shaded and a little chilly. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Overall a great option, would def stay again!

This is the perfect hotel if you don't want to feel bound to your hotel. It is chic and hip, like the most expensive resorts on Isla, but without the amenities that you may not need anyway. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The street noise will bug you if you open the doors on the front side, but you probably won't want to sleep without A/C anyway. Breakfast was simple and did the trick. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!

Adeymar at the front desk was fabulous. Could not do enough for us and our group. Nice clean hotel. Balconies nice to watch sunset from. Clean, cold pool. And, the price is right. Walking to ferry and marina.

Location - this place was just a short walk once we get off the ferry, very easy to find.

Staff - They spoke good English and was very helpful. However, be careful when asking for recommendations where to eat, Sometimes they get commission for referring customers to restaurants, and those restaurants might be those over-priced tourist traps, not necessarily the best place to get food. Also, don't book any tours with the front desk before talking to other travel agents on the streets. They tend to overcharge, maybe for commission.

Room - Clean and comfy. Though, we booked this through hostelworld and I think we were supposed to get an Ocean view, but didn't. I should have asked about it but didn't, so it was my fault too. When you make a booking and it says oceanview, make sure you keep a printscreen of that.

Amenities - they provide two bottled water which could be refilled at the lobby. This was very convenient as Mexican restaurants don't serve free water with the meal. There is a very nice swimming pool which is nice for a quick dip
