“Tasty food”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

I was in a group of 7. Most of us enjoyed the food immensely. Most of us had good service, too. If you order a bottle of wine, you get extra attention. (I didn't order wine). As a single in a group, my drink order slipped throgh their cracks. Food was worth it.

“Skip this one - much better food elsewhere”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

We tried twice and ordered a large variety of menus items. One or two were decent but most were WAY over cooked. Service good and drinks great - bartender did a nice job. Cooking on snow open flame should not be thief claim to fame.... But hey it's always packed so maybe something is working but up for us it's not the food

“Subpar Service and Food, Sneaky Bill”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

Heads up! Pay careful attention to your bill, as they try to pass off the tip as part of the total amount due. Then, there is a chart of 'recommended tips' based on quality of service, (average, good, excellent, etc), implying (to me) that a tip had yet to be added.

As for the rest of the meal, disappointing. We had seen this restaurant on a previous visit, and I wanted to check it out on this trip, as the dishes looked good. Unfortunately, looks were the only thing good about this place.

Service was slow, and I had to hunt down the waiter to check on the status of our appetizer, a simple salad. The dishes came later, and while the fish was decent, my steak was pretty tasteless. Topping it off with a sneaky bill made for a disappointing meal.

“The best On this vacation”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

I'm surprised by the negative comments i've just read as I'm about to post our experience here.
Our group of 8 were seated almost immediately outside where wwe could watch the street scene. Staff was attentive and brought menus and a free marguarita for each member of our group. For being free the marguaritas were very good. The food ordered ranged from fish, shrimp, and ribs. (The staff did advise the two who ordered ribs that they wouldn't recommend the ribs, but they ordered ribs anyway). We ordered other drinks and they were served along with chips and 3 kinds of salsa. After what I think was a reasonable time the food was delivered.
The food presentation was pleasing as was the food itself, very good. The fish and shrimp eaters were very satisfied with their food. The rib eaters were also satisfied although the ribs were small and not as meaty as they wished, but the ribs were tasty and fairly tender with a nice sauce. The staff as I said was attentive and check on us during the meal for anything else they could for us. After dinner we ordered dessert (tres leche cake) and coffee. This was brought to our table in about 3 minutes. Great service. The staff at our request did seperate bills for each couple-no problems. We may have looked at our checks to see if a tip was added but we were not surprised in any way. We all felt we had excellent meal experience and we were all very satisfied. As a matter of fact we all agreed this was the best food/meal we've had on Isla in the four days that we have been here.
