One of the first things we noticed when we walked by was that there wasn't anyone out in front trying to draw you in - like almost every other restaurant on Hidalgo. It's at the northern end so a little quieter but definitely worth eating here as the food was delicious and you can just relax and enjoy. Fredy's shrimp and the Mexican plate were awesome and I'm a sucker for queso fundido (baked cheese). Fredy's feels more like a local restaurant than a lot of the others on Hidalgo. We enjoyed it and would eat here again.
