“Day on Isla Mujeres”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

didn't like this beach too much, too commercial, even if hiring chairs and umbrella for couple of hours you pay daily rental no exceptions, too many people too close together, cram in as many loungers as possible, drinks expensive and service not all that great, just too commercial

“Spectacular view of the cliffs and ocean at Isla Mujeres”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Best (and cheapest) seafood at Isla mujeres. Rented a golf cart to drive to punta sur. if you departs from Cancun take the first ferry (check the magazines when you land at the airport) so you have the whole day to spend at the Isla. Do not rent the car on the first rental places when you arrive to IM, walk a little bit to the south and you can rent newer carts.

“Beautiful vistas, ruined by junky 'art'”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

When you arrive, you are greeted by the obligatory gift shop, restaurants, and pay toilets. Past all that, you pay 30 pesos at the gate to the park. There are paved trails that take you over the top of the point, but look for the ramps and steps leading down, this is where you will find the more interesting views along the cliff. Majestic surf, and very pretty scenery. Definitely worth a look (but go early in the morning, or late in the afternoon, when it is cooler!)

My only aesthetic negative is the so-called modern art located along the pathways. Everything looks like a bunch of scrap iron girders that they decided to dump on the point. This type of material doesn't look good with the patina of orange rust it is accumulating. Dunno why they powers that be felt it was needed.

“Good view, not good for swiming”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

View is very pretty. The problem are the seaweeds and the rocks. This is not like the north beach that is calm, clean and with with sugar sand.

It is nice to view and leave.

“Breath Taking Sunrise”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

You want to go 30 minutes before the sunrise It's free BUT, If you pay 30 pesos (about $2.50 USD) You can go all the way to the tip of the island. Simply Stunning !
