Do you like pig? I mean, not just tolerate it, but really like the crispy crackling skin and slow roasted, tender meat? You gotta try the roast suckling pig. It doesn't look pretty since it's brown and comes with a side of brown beans, but damn, it is so good. I also don't expect to eat much pasta on the island despite how much italian influence is clear at the restaurants, but there is some terrific homemade pasta here. It is another level of fine dining service and food than its more casual sister restaurant on Hidalgo or any other restaurant on the island, frankly. Go rent a moped or golf cart and take the trip down to the south central part of the isla. The whole snapper was the only moderately disappointing dish our party had -- it wasn't bad -- just can have better for the price at about a half dozen other places. I would also recommend their mango margarita (basically all fruit with tequila) and their coconut ice cream with Kahlua poured on top.

Set facing the narrow strip of the Caribbean between Cancun and Isla Mujeres on Isla Mujeras, this restaurant is reached through a catamaran from Cancun Hotel Zone.
If the time is right and the sun is setting, it is very romatic and the restaurant is quite rustic in it decor.
Grilled shrimps and Seviche are our favorite.
The wine list is not so inspiring but the service make sup for it.

That while we've been coming to Isla for 7 years - and thought that we knew all the great places to eat (although generally that's true) that Casa Rolandi was so exquisite? (Oh, we knew it was a lovely looking place, but never dined there).

Turns out we celebrated a friends birthday there and the service and the food (never mind the view) was perfect. Fabulous seafoods (we had too many to mention here but all were out of sight), wonderful meats, incredible perfectly cooked pastas and ravioli) and service which was top-notch (our charming head waiter, Jose Jesus Chan Diaz was magnificent and would recommend him if you can) equaled a magnificent evening and little doubt that we will be back.

The food here is fabulous! And it's all freshly prepared. The hot bread served with oil and balsamic vinegar before dinner was so delicious I could have made a meal out of it. Then we had pizza which had the perfect crust! I would definitely eat here again!
