We had read about Tino but expected not to find him open due to the time of year (we heard he was only open during high season). But we spotted the huge cloud of smoke while on a golf cart joy ride and we knew we had to try some.

We ordered the ribs with bone, rib meat and chicken...bought some beers at a store across the road...then headed south to enjoy the meal on the coast of the pacific, sitting in the grass off the road. The food was great. Ribs with bone and the chicken being the highlights. The chicken skin (which I am a huge fiend) was divine. I will dream of it until I return for more.

Thank Matthew C

Only open weekends Tinos is a great place for island BBQ. The ribs and chicken were excellent, fresh, and the price is right. The condiments were complimentary, although I'm not much of a fan of the watery beans, they weren't necessary. Get there early, earlier seems to = fresher.

Got ½ kilo of chicken for two of us for only 55 pesos (such a steal!); still had enough leftover for another complete meal. It also came with tortillas, rice, salad, and two sauces. The chicken was seasoned incredibly well and was quite tender. The tortillas were homemade and delicious as well. The rice was on the dry side, but not a big problem. I threw on some queso that we had in our fridge and loved it. My friend especially liked the chicken, choosing to eat the chicken plain after her first taco. Can’t wait to go back and try the pork! We did have a little communication challenge (thanks to my rusty Spanish!) but thankfully another worker showed up and was super helpful in getting everything cleared up!

The cook is very friendly and that is the good part. The pork is super dry, almost jerky served with bean water, cabbage salad, tortillas and a watery salsa. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Tender and flavorful ribs and pork. The beans were just juice. That was kind of weird. But this place is really good!!
